I know you knew that already, but check out his latest rant comparing oil workers to child pornographers and suggesting they should lose their jobs and go to work building windmills.

New rule - stop talking about jobs being lost in a murderous, hateful industry like it's a bad thing. Now, last week I may have hurt a few feelings when my response to the complaint that jobs will be lost in the offshore drilling business was, "F--- your jobs." But I meant it. And it goes double for burning coal and chopping down redwoods. Sorry, roughnecks, but eventually you're going to have to find something else to do. Try building windmills. You know what happens when windmills collapse into the sea? A splash. You know, it's Washington gospel that jobs in the private sector are better than government jobs. You even hear Democrats saying it. But oil jobs are private, and look at the toll this industry takes: cooking the planet; enslaving us to Saudi Arabia; killing animals. If the government hired away all the 58,000 oil workers who work now in the state of Louisiana, and paid them their same salary to work repairing infrastructure and building solar panels, it would cost us $5.5 billion which the Pentagon loses every day in the couch. Wouldn't that be worth it? Is working on an oil rig really that great a job anyway? You spend weeks at a time on a floating well in the ocean. Do you want to avoid your family that bad, take up golf. Yes, the oil industry creates jobs - so does the kiddie porn industry.

Let's just extract a few of the utterly idiotic ideas in that statement.

- Oil makes us dependent on Saudi Arabia, so we should shut down domestic drilling.
- Government jobs are better than private jobs, so everybody should work for the Government. I guess we'll just borrow money from China to pay everybody.
- Windmills and solar panels can supply all of our energy needs.
- We don't need oil for plastics or fertilizers or anything.
- The oil industry is "murderous and hateful." Hateful? As opposed to a Hollywood creep telling people he hopes they lose their jobs?
- Working on an oil rig seems unpleasant to Bill Maher, let him tell you what kind of job you should have.
- Oil = child pornography.
- By implication, Coal mining = child pornography (Since he hates people who do those jobs, too).
- Also, Logging = child pornography.

Remember, this is the idiot who insisted that Brazil was "off oil" even though they get a higher percentage of their energy use from oil than the USA does; 49% versus 27% in the USA.

I think it's really funny how the left always decries Right leaning hosts as "entertainers" or "Nuts" when it seems like it's the left's shows that has more of those characterists.

Bill Maher doesn't pretend to be on a "news" station

Bill Maher, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi.....

All of these folks say things that are so stupid it makes me want to kick them in the balls.....except Nancy....[she may have balls but I don't want to find out]

Bill Maher is funny as hell..

....and as for your disingenuous rant about comparing oil workers to kiddie fiddlers - you should be a politician for making such a weak link...

Yes...he's funny....in a sick sort of way.

He appeals to folks like you.

I sometimes find him funny but not so much lately.

His comedy is based off of false stereotypes. There's a market for that....you just proved it.

You clearly have a weird sense of humor then.

BTW, Last time I checked, Hell wasn't really that funny.

A market of comedy based off false stereotypes? Ah, another man familiar with the work of Glenn Beck.

Wonder what you're specifically speaking of?

Glenn Beck spends most of the time on his program talking about facts...he's not always telling jokes.

A joke is an exaggeration of the truth. Glenn Beck is pretty specific. Any one of his facts could bring a lawsuit from the AG if they were untrue.....but of course they aren't.

Bill Maher makes a living telling jokes and saying outrageous things that libs love to hear.

Like America deserved 9/11......and the people that still watch him believe that crap.

that isn't what he said at all. he said that terrorists weren't cowards.

he never said anyone deserved 9/11.

ABC decided not to renew Maher's contract for Politically Incorrect in 2002 after he had made a controversial on-air remark shortly after the September 11th 2001 attacks,[10] in which he agreed with guest conservative political commentator Dinesh D'Souza that the 9/11 terrorists were not cowards. Maher replied, "We have been the cowards. Lobbing cruise missiles from two thousand miles away. That's cowardly. Staying in the airplane when it hits the building. Say what you want about it. Not cowardly. You're right." Maher later clarified that his comment was not anti-military in any way whatsoever, referencing his well-documented longstanding support for the American military

and if you read further in the article, apparently rushbo agreed on the distinction between moral and physical cowadice.

glad we got that straightened out, hon.
