He was able to achieve all that because he worked with republicans and Newt Gingrich and implementing some of their policies as well. This president shut the door to any compromise the first two years in office because he had majority in both houses.

You know...............I have to agree with you Dr. Grump. Under the Clinton presidency, the economy seemed to be doing good, there were plenty of jobs to go around and everyone was making money.

The only thing that he did, which I didn't appreciate, was lie to the American people about getting a blowjob in the Oval office. My personal feelings? He should have said "yeah, I did it", because almost everyone knows that power is a potent aphrodisiac, and to tell the truth, it wasn't that big a deal (at least to me).

What was a big deal was the lying about it.

As far as his speech? Clinton provided facts and figures, as well as made the statement that NOBODY, not him, nor any of his predecessors could have fixed the economy Obama was handed in only 4 years.

Obama's campaign slogan for this election should be "Saved in 4, fixed by 8".

But, he still didn't explain why Obama made those promises, why we're at 23 million unemployed, why our foreign policy is in shambles and we've turned our back on our allies (to the point that Jerusalem was deceptively taken out of the Platform), why we've had over 8% unemployment for the last 4 years.
