Nope, you're the one out trying to take away others rights, because you precieve a nonexistent threat.

Talk of machine guns & surveillance spooks hotel guests

The Bilderberg Group has launched an unprecedented security crackdown on the eve of tomorrow’s secretive confab of global power brokers, with guests at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles hotel being intimidated by talk of machine guns and high-tech surveillance.

Surveying the scene at the hotel today, radio host Alex Jones described a chaotic picture, with Bilderberg security, including a particularly vocal Swedish woman, stomping around the building announcing that “machine gun nests” were being set up in anticipation of a deluge of protesters arriving over the next few days.

Given the fact that a record number of demonstrators are expected to attend, Bilderberg has been more stringent than ever before in its efforts to get people out of the way, telling customers who had made room reservations for two days before the start of the conference that their bookings would not be honored.

Undercover Fairfax police, secret service, hotel security, as well as diplomatic service personnel are all now rushing to finalize preparations for the arrival of Bilderberg members tomorrow morning.

Although well over a thousand people have signaled their intention to attend the protest, Bilderberg only expects around 500 to be in place at any one time.

Alex Jones himself was contacted yesterday by Bryan Stolz, Director of Hotel Operations at Marriott International, who told Jones that his room booking was cancelled and that he and his crew would be banned from entering the premises of the hotel.

People who are already staying at the hotel have had letters delivered to their rooms ordering them to leave the premises before noon on Thursday.

We are also expecting to receive details of Bilderberg’s 2012 agenda within the next few hours. One topic of discussion already confirmed to be up for debate will be ecological issues and Agenda 21 – part of Bilderberg’s efforts to usher in a post-industrial revolution.

DRUDGE REPORT 2012®

I know, man they really have taken it to a new level now.amazing how they are so afraid of people getting in and hearing what they have planned for the future that they are now using armed guards with MACHINE GUNS.

I give absolutely no credibility to the whole conspiracy genre, including that about the Fed. the Fed is a perfectly logical outcome and need in a huge monetary system like ours, and would fail if it was managed directly by the congress, any elected manager, or Bureaucracy, and it's failure would be earth shattering in consequence.
[1]Please explain how we got from 1776 to 1913 without a Privately Owned Federal Reserve System.

[2] Please explain why the dollar has lost 90% of it's value since 1913.

I'd like to hear that explanation myself.

Ok MS and Paul, this answers you both:

[1] Between 1776 to 1913 - The US had a very different economy than now; it was in its rudiments, agrarian and in the bare beginnings of industrialization. In the 19th century, with that type economy, there was much less demand for capital than in the 20th. In the 20th century the economy changed radically from before, into a very advanced industrial economy highly dependent on capital.

Between 1776 to 1913 we had the opposite problem, financial/bank panics, and deflation being common, with isolated pockets of the economy outside the eastern banking centers, so that insufficient money supply to banks was the more common problem, and if or when bank customers got the concern that their bank was short of funds a run or panic might result to make sure they got their own money out before their bank ran out.

What was lacking was a banking system that insured that all regions got a sufficient money supply, and a reserve system that allowed banks to get money into their own vaults without delay. That lack may explain why (among other things) bank panics were so common in the 19th century; they were as follows: 1819, 1837, 1857, 1873, 1893, 1907 – (altogether 6-panics before the creation of the Fed).

The 20th century as follows: (excepting 1907 which preceded the Fed) 1930 – (1 panic post-Fed) - I omitted the 1920-21 “recession” which was a war-to-peacetime transition depression lasting only a year.

It should be noted that none of the “recessions” of the late 20th century resulted in bank runs. Thus in the 20th century: 2008 financial crisis. (no panics documented?)

Note that in all the above I only listed “panics,” or “runs on banks,” omitting recessions, because panics and/or runs are financial emergencies, the very problem the Fed was created to dampen.

[2] As far as inflation leading to a 90% percent loss in the value of the dollar – that’s less than 1% per year, and the shrinkage is more than made up for by improvements in productivity, therefore a huge increase in the standard of living for everybody, including the very poorest of us who lose very little from inflation – I.E. they have no assets banked to lose value, and many or most of them are supported by the social safety net. Ninety percent sounds like an exorbitant amount of loss due to inflation, but it’s actually meaningless and without consequence spread out over your 99 year period, from the Fed’s creation to now. We aren't buying many of those products that were being sold back in 1913.

But as to the reason for inflation in the 20th century versus the 19th: I believe there can be no other reason other than demands made on the dollar by the central government, with politicians being the agents. With excessive demands made on the dollar by elected politicians, the Fed has to respond in defense of the dollar, but without the Fed it would be "Katie bar the door," and an all out assault on the dollar, with only the blame game as a stop-gap.

And finally my thoughts on the Fed as a necessary institution:
If the Fed was eliminated and the politicians were put in charge of our money supply there would be no end to inflation. They cannot be trusted; that’s part of the purpose of the Fed; to separate the politicians from the mother’s milk of politics: money. The Fed, through its board of governors manages the money supply without political bias, with the governors being nominated and confirmed by politicians of both parties.

How would you like the president, and congress to be in charge of money, and the party that came to sole power decided that your state or your economic region should be deprived of money because it was a hotbed of political opposition to them? This situation was particularly probable when there was a party in power for a long period of time like the many years of Democrat ascendancy from Roosevelt to the congress of 1992, when the Republicans finally took congress. This potential but almost certain problem can only be reduced to insignificance with the separation of the Fed from the politicians.

Money is capital, and I for one want the nation’s capital in the hands of capitalists, not politicians. By default, that is a system that is privately owned. We saw what happened with Fannie and Freddy, when both parties agreed on how they would dispose of "too easy money" in the form of sub-prime mortgages.

And I have no qualms about foreign bankers putting their money in the American economy, and therefore "owning" a part of the money supply. It was foreign bankers who in large part financed the development of the west, like Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and their cattle industry, and later the potato and sugar beet industries.

Those were tough investors, looking after inventories and profits, but providing essential capital for settlers, where the eastern bankers didn’t see the need.

American Horse, yes we had a much different economy back in those days. The Gov't made most of it's money on tarrifs as we had no Income Tax until the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. Coincidence? No. Woodrow Wilson himself regretted signing that.
The Glass Steagal Act, which separated Investment and Deposit Banks, was repealed in 1999. That would have stopped the Derivatives Crisis that we're having now or at least would have limited it to just Investment Banks.
Also, The Constitution states that our money supply is SUPPOSED to be handled by Congress, not a bunch of Privately Owned Banks that can "gift" themselves HUGE amounts of cash at taxpayer expense and call it "Quantitative Easing".
It's no accident that the US Dollar has lost 90+% of it's value during that time. You think those Bankers don't know what they're doing?
What we have now is not "Capitalism" but "Crony Banker Capitalism" with "Corporate Crony Fascism" thrown in.
Where are those machine gun nest pics you crazed nut cases?
Those are more likely "Machine Pistols" like UMP-40's, you familiar with those? Of course you're not. Hint: They use hand gun ammo hence the name "Machine Pistol".

YOU are the one saying there are "machine gun nests".

So all the banter about the machine gun nest security level at this hotel conference was crap. Just like everything else spewed by the article's author. You guys were played for suckers. Rightfully so.
