When did I say you didn't need cold to get snow? If you raise the temp from 20 to 25 F, you still get snow AND that's warming! WHY are you ALWAYS denying the obvious? You seem to think the vapor and the cold have to come from the same place!!! Check your history. That's not how the big eastern storms work. The moisture comes from the Gulf, which I understand is warmer than it used to be, and the cold comes from the west and, though not as cold as it used to be, is still below freezing. Bingo! Big snow storm!
