Big City Snow NYC

How are the people who are in charge of anything important in NYC doing?

You've made the ridiculous claim that the workforce size from 1997 is just fine. As if the city hasn't changed from that time. I guess you've missed the multiple construction projects like the 2nd ave subway, 9/11 or a host of other things that might add complexity to the role of the Sanitation Department.

But go on. Bray about how we lost 4 congressional seats or something.

That's helpful.

Sallow, are you defending your vacation buddies now or what? Everybody but you seems to recognize there was a big breakdown of service, that had much more to do with factors other than the actual snow fall. Be honest. What's done is done. Do we learn from it, or recycle the same excuses next time.

Well my take away is that the "more with less" mentality failed here.

All the gold standards of socialism, aka municipal services, laid bare, once and for all.

By God, you are so right. If all of these rightwingloons weren't such wussies, they would have gone out and bought themselves a brand new snowplow and cleaned their own streets. That is the real individualist American way.

Dirty socialism. Cities should never offer water systems, roads, or anything else that is socialistic to their citizens. They should only be concerned about the care and benefit of the upper 2% of the population. That is all that counts.

What a stupid fuck.

I knew you were ignorant and gullible, but now you're just plain fucking stupid.

NY'er PAY the sanitation for a service they must provide: ie, snow removal. You stupid stupid fuck. NY already pays for snow removal! It has nothing to do with Democrat, Republican, Conservative or Marxist or even ManMade Global Warming (which cause the record snow dump, right?)

When you pay for food at a restaurant, do you expect them to deliver it or do you think you should pay a private chef to now prepare the food you already paid for?

If they pay for it, why do they now have to pay a private firm to remove the snow that they already paid the City to remove?

Gullible, ignorant and now just plain fucking stupid

oops saw on the telly in person a NYC Councilman from Queens Don Halloran who says union WORKERS told HIM they were told by their SUPV's to 'slow down' in that they would not be supervised and would not be reprimanded for missing routes etc. some were directed to stay off of side streets not plow down big piles etc etc .. and that there just as many snow clearing units on the streets today as last year with an inch and half more snow and in 24 hours things were very much better than today.
