I look at charitable giving as a win-win. First, obviously, is the organization that gets my tax deductible donation. But then I benefit as well since the amount I give lessens my amount of taxable income so I pay the fed bastards less, and that makes me feel good because the more I give away means they've got that much less to just plain blow each year (along with billions of other tax dollars!).
