Best Old Fogies

Yeah when we moved to that town it was a bit of a culture shock. Mostly old folks. Old folks and school kids. The rest of them split. I formed an unofficial "hug of the month club". The old gals got a kick out of that.


I lived in a community much like this a few years back. My neighbors averaged around 70...my next door neighbor was an 84-year-old widow who had survived breast cancer. Thin as a rail, fiesty as heck, still a big flirt! When I moved next door, she came over and said "Honey, you need some meat on your bones!" She proceeded to keep me well fed for the next year and always made sure Buttercup, my dog at the time, had treats. I think I broke her heart when I moved. Sure miss her.
