Sorry, no poll.
They have more than 10 albums and you can only give 10 choices for a poll.

St. Anger (2003)

S & M (1999)

Garage Inc. (1998)

ReLoad (1997)

Load (1996)

Live Shit: Binge & Purge (Box Set) (1993)

Metallica (A.K.A The Black Album) (1991)

And Justice For All... (1988)

The 9.98 CD: Garage Days... (1987)

Master Of Puppets (1986)

Ride The Lightning (1984)

Kill 'Em All (A.K.A. Metal Up Your Ass) (1983)

I would vote for the first Metallica album. The last several have been so wimpy, they are almost pop albums. St. Anger was horrible tripe.

Kill'em All. Hands down.

Then Garage Days.

The rest is pretty much filler and fluff, with them going straight in to the toilet right after the ...And Justice album.

I've noticed a trend with Metallica...
The older kids who watched Metallica start, all seem to feel the same way
as Shattered. As we move up to the next generation (around my age),
they seem to like Metallica up to the load album. A few here, there, and in between like
Garage Inc. and S&M, but nobody really likes St. Anger except
the new generation. They are missing the best stuff! St. Anger sux!!!!

Egads.. I'm an "older kids" now.
no. uh I meant to say the generation before me.
You are 10 years older than me.
(but I like "previous generation" women)

Nice save, suckup.

Basically, when Metallica started getting a lot of radio time on mainstream airwaves, they started to suck, because they were after the majoritys money.. Used to be, the only place you'd hear them were on local radio stations after midnight..the only place you'd see them would be concerts that you waited in line for 3 days to get tickets to..

The last time I paid money to see them was Ozzy's Ultimate Sin tour, and the Monsters of Rock tour (both in the 80's, I think)...

I saw them was last summer, but the tickets were free.
I gotta bud who works at the local radio station.

I'm willing to bet the show was worth exactly what it cost.. Some of their ambition went the way of their hair, methinks.. :)

It actually wasn't bad.
They played alot of old school stuff.
They also played with:
Deftones
Mudvayne
Linkin Park
Limp Bizkit

Limp was the worst band out there.
This was the show after Fred got pissed and left the stage.
I think that was in Detroit.
Deftones was a VERY close second as Cheno was drunk
and you couldn't understand a word he said.
Anyway, I've seen Metallica like 6 times.

My dad saw Metallica when they co-headlined in Texas with the English metal band Raven. I am deeply envious.

Love the songs "Hero of the Day" and "Whisky in the Jar," though I do believe the albums on which they appear are fairly weak. And, I can't get Metallica songs on "iTunes."
