I saw a feature on gamespot like this, and thought I'd share. What do you think are some of the best/worst/most dissappointing/most innappropriate/most impressive/etc. video game endings you've ever seen.

WARNING, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. TURN YOUR HEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED THE GAME!!!

Best - Fallout, the negotiator type ending where The Master commits suicide.
Diablo I, where the hero shoves the soulstone into his own head.
Warcraft III, the Frozen Throne, it's just awesome, you have to see it.
Starcraft, where Tassadar kills himself to destroy the Overmind.
Worst - Quake, it's just text
Eye of the Beholder, see above
Syndicate, there really isn't one
Most Dissappointing - Half-Life, appropriate, but it's anticlimactic
Diablo, good, but it's the same for all three heroes

That's my list for now. Fell free to comment or add to it.

How about best FMV sequence in a game.
I love the video work in FFX!!!

Best - Too many. Most memorable was Metroid (original) when I found
out that our hero was a chick. I didn't expect that.

Worst - Quake, Tenchu

Most Dissappointing - The secret ending for Kingdom Hearts, you go to all this
trouble to unlock the "secret ending" and it sucks. I wanted more Final Fantasy.

I kinda liked the ending of Medal of Honor: Frontline. However the duel with you and that German officer was quite forced, he didnt even make an appearance till much late in th game. I also liked how the character flys the HO-9 and ends the game.

Worst ending...Battletoads. Have to spend hundreds of hours fighting through 12 levels of incredibly tough badies and then the ending is text. what the freak.

I just bought a sega genesis with two controllers and 6 games for 40 bucks.
Altered Beast is one of the crapiest games ever. It used to rock.
Eternal Champions is the same way. I'm sure I can find MANY more on
my far outdated system. Earthworm Jim still kicks some butt

The Silent Hill series (well, 2 and 3) had great endings, the hidden ones and the regular ones. They really fit the mood of the rest of the games well.

RE: Genesis - Remember Toejam and Earl? I loved that as a kid, wonder if it would still hold up today?

T & E Hmmmm
I wonder if it would be worth buying.
Can anyone else remember any kick ass games for Genesis worth buying???

I only ever played shadowrun for genesis. i always liked that game for some reason.

I already bought all of those for my wife. I got this plan to get her
more into video games before Halo 2 comes out. That way she will not
care how long I veg out on H2.
