Bernie Sanders After Democratic Unity Tour: The Party Is Failing

The Democratic Unity tour is over and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who headlined the event, had the report card: the party is failing.

“I think what is clear to anyone who looks at where the Democratic Party today is that the model of the Democratic Party is failing,” he told CBS’s John Dickerson on Face The Nation. The tour was more of a showcase of disunion, with Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez being booed multiple times by attendees. This pro-Bernie Sanders wing of the party wants to go further to the left, and they’re tired of the more liberal establishment not jumping on the issues that Sanders has pushed on the stump, specifically the issue of health care. Another weird aspect: Sanders isn’t even a Democrat (via CNN):

"Do you consider yourself a Democrat?" host Chris Hayes asked the Vermont senator.

"No, I am an independent," Sanders replied, before launching into a lengthy explanation of what ailed the party -- whose nomination he sought in 2016 -- and what it needs to do in order to reclaim power...

..."Donald Trump did not win the election -- the Democrats lost the election!" he said (again) during an event in Miami on Wednesday night. "That means rebuilding the Democratic Party, making it a grassroots party, a party from the bottom on up!"...

Bernie is a socialist nutjob, but he is 100% accurate about the failing of the Democrat Party. He was also far more popular among leftists than Crooked Hillary. Thankfully, Donald J. Trump won the election thereby schlonging Hillary.

1. Hillary was NEVER found 'innocent' because Obama never would allow her indictment. The Director of the FBI testified under oath before Congress and declared Hillary Clinton DID give individuals without security clearances access to highly classified information - her own tech aide, her lawyers, the tech firm that stored her server in their bathroom, and even her maid. DOING SO IS ILLEGAL, a CRIME. Hillary was protected by Obama's criminal US AGs and never held accountable for her actual crimes.

2. You do not correctly read me - I don't like Hillary or Trump. I think it is shameful that the best candidates the United States had to choose from were Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

3. To date the democrats have produced ZERO evidence of any criminal wrong-doing against Trump. When / if they ever do I will be one of the 1st ones to demand he be held accountable.

4. 'Rep party is also one big fail'. While I agree they are a mess, they are not as bad as the Democrats.

Of course Bernie is correct, as has been aptly stated n this thread, they are fully responsible for this by being untrustworthy and trying to really turn America into a National Monarchy designed to be run by the Democrat for the next 200 years. It failed miserably and regardless of the source of the leaks during the election, their problems run FAR deeper than just this. Canada is a nation without individual liberty or free markets, believe me you don't want this.

The democrats used media to bias their candidate at the expense of free and honest elections. They submarined Bernie even though he would have been even worse for the country than Hillary, you have to allow the people to decide their election results fairly. It was too clearly obvious the bias and intentions of the democratic leadership.

There is one clear belief I have that I won't waver from, if Trump keeps his promises, those that might be deemed Libertarian in nature, Conservative AND yes, even populist in nature, the democrats simply will not be able to gain inroads. As long as he keeps his promises and fights the good fight, they will have a powerful message and citizens will be better off for it. He cannot waver or he's in trouble.

America wanted and needed a non-politician who was not specifically ideologically rigid, but one who made arguments on the trail that embodied different perspectives depending on the issue. This is important. Common sense and "right in front of your face" logic have to take the place of lobbyist and rigid ideology. Ihope the democrats recover and embrace the Constitution and the ideals of the Founding Fathers rather than going down this road of socialism, or even worse, MONARCHY!

Hey I'm on the Dem side, and when I look back at the GOP and their treatment when they got control of the house and senate, I just can't stand them. I voted for McCain, but when I saw what the GOP turnedI into I'm glad he didn't win. It started right after Obama got in.

Trump has been a huge nightmare esp. when one believe in healthcare for all and believes in global warming and we need to quit pollution. Now with their tax cuts for the elites, spare me, I am all for the Dems. Your fake Christian party makes me ill just thinking about yous.
