This is surprising, I'm hoping for Bernie, but it's a slim chance he'll get the nomination.
Bernie Sanders takes the lead over Hillary Clinton in Iowa poll
Vermont senator Bernie Sanders has taken the lead from former secretary of state Hillary Clinton for the first time in a poll in the crucial early voting state of Iowa, as the self-declared socialist Democrat continues to tighten the race with the party establishment favorite.

A Quinnipiac University poll released on Thursday found that 41% of likely Democratic primary voters in Iowa said they would vote for Sanders, while 40% said they would vote for the former secretary of state. Though Sanders’ edge is within the margin of error of 3.4 percentage points, Clinton led Sanders by double digits in Iowa in July. Averages of all polling in the state show Clinton with a quickly eroding lead that nevertheless remains in the double-digits.

If Hillary keeps getting dogged by the e-mail scandal, Bernie may very well end up with the nomination.

Remember.....................all the people who were leading in the polls for the 2012 and 2008 elections in the summer were toast by January.

I'm hoping that Bernie can pull it out. I think he'd make an excellent President.

Know what I'd like to see for the Dem ticket? Sanders/Warren.

the evening DNC emails listing topics for their operatives to push in forums must have come out...you're flooding the board with your hyperpartisan shilling...comical!

Polling in one state with a tiny lead. Democratic socialism is essentially social democracy, you know, the labor party in the UK are "socialists."

That's not according to Bernie himself, but that's OK. You haven't yet been told to admit you're a Socalist

Don't the clown faces understand that it ain't about supporting Sanders as much as it's about losing support for Hillary? Sanders is just the vacuum created by the air rushing out of the Hillary campaign.

You're right, I'm a full fledged communist. LOL.

The sad thing about polling and the whole process is that so far at least a fringe candidate like Sanders wouldn't get the numbers even from those who support him because of the Herd Mentality -- the fallacious thinking that "he/she can't win, so I'll support the more popular name". I wish people would get over that, as all it does is perpetuate the narrow system and keep the choices narrow.

Now that he's caught up to the front-runner, Sanders is likely to snowball more support with no effort on his part at all, simply on the basis that some of the Herd see the numbers and now give themselves "permission" to articulate the preference they had all along. But the herd has to realize ... that permission was always there.

Let's pretend that this "Democrat Party" [sic] actually exists, just long enough for you to tell us what that says, Frank.

Ah, didn't see it.

This is how much Democrats hate Hillary.

It's ok, the Republicans hate Jeb just as much.

Getting rid of them both forever politically is a good start.

Democrats support a Socialist as their candidate for POTUS

Some do. ...... AND??

Very well not answered, Frank. Beautifully not done anything about. Are we supposed to infer that's some kind of negative? What are you, George H.W. Bush in 1992, spitting "Liberal" out as if it's some kind of slur?

I have it on good authority that you are a known masticator. Further, I strongly suspect you associate with homo sapiens.
