Correct and that loss is because they have to fund the retirement of employees who have not even been born yet.

Well that might be a stupid mistake.

If it was government run, there would be no stockholders to satisfy and no multi-million dollar executives and bonuses.

It would likely pay much better interest.

Most / many banks in America today are paying .01% interest on savings accounts and charging up to 35% interest on credit cards.

All while complaining they aren't making enough money and slapping fees on even having an account with them.

That's why I moved from Wells Fargo to Ally bank.
