Full disclosure I have a put on BH based on its crappy earnings for the past five years

BH gets a lot of revenue from Bakken, so its earnings are going further down the toilet. Why isn't it sinking like a rock?

My guess would be the Insurance businesses, financial bets, Ajit Jain, GEICO, Coke

Then you are calling Buffett an idiot. To take one example he has stated that holding on to Coke when its PE peaked in the nosebleed range was one of his bigger errors. I think he has committed even bigger errors he has not yet recognized but I don't think he would mistake a triumph for an error.

How much of BRK's profits come from the railroad?

I thought it was less than 20%, but I can't remember.

Can't tell you but it is declining with commodity prices like the earnings of every other rail system in the world.

Berkshire has been over valued for years due to Buffet's stature. But I dont think his returns over the last 20 years have matched what he made his reputation on.
