I've been spotting future stars in films that were just extras or had bit parts in films.

I was watching Zoolander yesterday and spotted Eric from "True Blood" in this silly scene:

Can any of you remember any future stars that you've seen in small roles like this?

Robert Duval was Boo Radley in "To Kill a Mockingbird". His on screen time was just a minute or two. It was his first time in a movie. I don't think it was a speaking role.

Bruce Lee in "Here Comes The Brides" and "Marlowe"

Man, I could have met Evangeline Lilly through Live Links? I obviously had my head up my ass in the early 90s.

A slightly different twist:
Charles Bronson | Stars Who Served | Comcast.net

I never knew Charles Bronson was a tough guy in real life.

Caine left school at 16 and landed an entry-level production job at an industrial film company. At 18, he was called upon to do military service, and for the next two years, served overseas and even saw frontline combat in Korea. He made his glorious re-entry into civilian life working at a butter factory before landing a job as an assistant stage manager and eventually an actor at a repertory theater in West Sussex. However, a bout of post-war malaria forced him offstage for a time.
