Beck Apologizes For Calling Obama a Racist

Beck apologizes for calling Obama a 'racist', did not start civil rights movement

Aug. 27, 2010, 2:45 p.m. - Talk host Glenn Beck today said he made a mistake when he called President Barack Obama a "racist" during an interview last year.

"I did not understand his liberation theology," Beck told XM 169 morning host Joe Madison.

It was Beck's first apology since July of last year, when he accused the nation's half-white president of being a bigot on "On Fox & Friends" - Beck was discussing the Henry Louis Gates arrest.

"This president, I think, has exposed himself as a guy, over and over and over again, who has a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture," Beck said. "I don't know what it is."

The next day, Beck restated the remarks: "I think the president is a racist."

When is anyone going to apologize for calling Bush a racist after Katrina?

By the way....after Obama went after Arizona....it's obvious he's a racist. Sorry if that bothers everyone.

I don't know if he's a racist or not, only he knows what's in his heart. What is obvious to me is he's chosen to be president for only one half of America. And, he's not proud of America. neither is his wifey.

what wanna know is....why the hell do you people listen to these idiots?.....it seems like you cant stand them, but some of you never miss a show....all your doing is making these jerks rich.....

obama hates the fact that his alcoholic polygamist dad impregnated a socialist white hippie.

does that make him a racist?

probably not.

No, but your post provides clear and convincing evidence that you're a stupid racist asshole.

There might be evidence that he is stupid or insensitive to hippies. but there is no evidence of Racism in that post.

This is the problem with you people. You keep calling people racist when they have SAID NOTHING remotely racist.

Somehow you find racism in that comment but not in Obama calling his white grand mother "a typical white woman"

Hmmm

I love how the left can call people who are not racist racist all the time, but if someone calls Obama A racist.
How about learning how to complete a sentence? That should be one sentence. I'm not sure what you are getting at. I guess Obama does constantly play the race card. He has dark skin, and did not run as a white candidate. I guess it would have made sense for him to run as a white candidate lest he be accused of playing the race card with the whole "black" thing.
You guys are the worst kind of Hippocrates.
Hippocrates? He was a great figure in medicine.

I think you mean hypocrites. But who knows? You don't seem exceptionally articulate.

well since you brought it up how comes all people of mixed race decide they is black????? is white something they izzz ashamed to be??

You weren't asking me, and this is just a guess--because I'm a cracker--but a mixed race person might identify more with their racial minority half because of similar experiences with discrimination (not necessarily in the work place, but socially) as someone who is a "full" racial minority.

Look at the suburbs and all the wiggers out there. Being black is cool, and white is the invisible race. We run the game, so there's no room to complain, yo.

What is the definition of racism?

It's when you feel that your race is better then another because if it's inherent qualities.

It's also when you claim to see racism in something where it doesn't exist.

This is the case when Obama said university cops were stupid for arresting a black professor....and also when he claimed discrimination in a new law in Arizona he hadn't even read yet. These are only two examples. Another is his membership in Trinity United Church for 20 years....yet he claims he never noticed racist doctrine being taught by Rev. Wright when in fact it was. Also his belief in Black Liberation Theology which is a racist doctrine proves he's a racist....and also an indicator of his racist beliefs are plain in new DOJ policies. (Never prosecute a brother)

the man hates his white mother and grandmother, the people who raised him, yet identifies with the man who abandoned the family to impregnate multiple other women.

no wonder 95% of blacks approve of the job he's doing.

Cad that is uncalled for. Center on obama not the black race.

so someone apologizes for making a crass remark and hes a piece of shit? I see...so I guess NOT apologizing for crass remarks means what exactly? okay then....
A year later? :cuckoo: Mel Gibson was quicker on his feet.

oh I see, so whats the over and under on apology's? If you're a lib 10 years a con. 1?

When did you hear a "lib" apologize?

I'm pretty sure none has ever made a mistake....:eusa_whistle:

I believe that Obama does have some torn feelings about the White race. He was a biracial child in an era that was very uncomfortable, at best, with interracial marriage. He had to have experienced some negativity regarding that reality.

I'll never forget, back in '68, when my divorced mother rented out our house to a biracial couple, who had two children. That was very, very counter culturally strange back then. I can't imagine that Obama didn't escape some hurtful comments while growing up. His White grandparents had to have been in shock. Biracial children where totally out of the norm back then. Many of you have no idea how strange it must have been for Pres Obama. There's no way he couldn't have been affected by it.

LOL, they won't FORGIVE BECK, (for calling the boyking Obama a RACIST), but they damn sure will FORGIVE a former KKK member Grand Wizard and even ELECT him their Senator. cause as they say, he changed his ways and SAW THE LIGHT.

man you just gotta laugh your ASS OFF AT THEM.

If you're a GOP'er apologies are just a sign of weakness.

If you're a Dem.....well....you're forgiven even before you ask.

Beck is a whacko, it's obvious Barack "White Folks Greed runs a world in need" Obama is a racist

You need to read his books because his true feelings about race are on full display. Nobody forced him to be a con-artist that smiles in the face of whites all the while he's sneering at them behind their backs.

I cant wait for the story that is going to end this mans public career.

Its going to come because he is so obviously an unbalenced man.

You have to understand that they don't care. They don't want to see reason in any of this. They just want to jump the gun and call him racist because it then validates full-fledged white victimhood. There's definitely an end entailed in these means.

Why do you supposed Beck would have waited one year to apologize? It makes him look good for the apology on the one hand, but it's also so far removed from the event that not as many people will hear about it, therefore mostly negating any annulment of the original statements. This apology was strategic, and ill conceived,:doubt:
