Litre of the Band
Because there's no "public option" that would've increased competition. That got "lobbied" out of the healthcare bill. Keep in mind, the healthcare lobby, is a very powerful special interest in Washington. It is a $2 trillion dollar a year industry. Industry officials had over 900 closed-door meetings at the White House before the vote. Not only did they get the "public option" removed from the bill, they got another 26 million customers added to billing in the form of the "mandate".Then why aren't healthcare costs falling now? Why weren't they falling before Obamacare?
I withdrew my support for the healthcare bill once it was clear the "public option" would not be included and I am against the mandate.
