...because Congress refuses to act

So, we're all cool now with the Obama Dick tater Doctrine of a President using his executive authority to make changes when he can't get Congressional approval?

Reagan should have closed the Department of Education and Bush should have shut Fannie and Freddie and Privatized Social Security, right?

RIGHT - But they did not have balls to do so. President Obama is becoming a Leader, while our 'do nothing just say no congress' does nothing to help America:cool:

It is not a sign of "becoming a leader" when a guy assumes powers for himself to which he is not entitled.

Everything I said re: Frank is 110% truth, and he is the actual source. It may be, and I'm juuuUUUSt throwing this out there def. not to insult you, that you don't wish to call him names and ridicule his stupidity as you do so many others because of his Partisan Ideaology. Just throwing that out there.

Actually, as is often the case, you were wrong. That's not the same as 100% (or 110%) truth.

You were wrong, for example, about the claim that CF ever said that President Obama sat in a Catholic Church.

It is POSSIBLE that CF really thinks the moon is "hollow." But I have never seen him claim that the moon had ever been colonized.

Did you know that when you are wrong once (much less multiple times) your claim of being 100% truthful falls to the wayside as rubbish?

And there's nothing wrong with thinking that President Obama (who is notable for his unwillingness to be forthcoming) might be a Muslim who doesn't care to acknowledge it.
I mean, sure, that would be crazy talk if the guy had been raised in Hawaii or the midwest. But it's not quite as silly if the guy had spent some of his formative years in a fucking Muslim school in a fucking Muslim land where his application papers LISTED him as a Muslim.

Yea that's all nice, except what we do know about Reverend Wright's Church is that it's definitely not Muslim.

We also know that - Crusader Frank has both chastized Obama for going there for 20-years, while also at other times trying to accuse Obama of being aq closet Muslim.

He's a friggin kook, and corny as cheese to boot. That's an expression, btw, I know how you like to puff your chest out and call people on technicalities like you're doing here, for FRank the kook. (I know that cheese isn't corny, literally.)

Actually, no.

You called it a Catholic church. You were wrong. Thus you were not 100% correct.

Also, it is the President who claims to have been a congregant there for 20 years. Yet, oddly, he never heard all the racist spew preached from Rev. Wright's pulpit. Convenient. Or dishonest. But if dishonest, maybe it's because he only used that Church as a cover for political purposes. He either didn't go there for 20 years as he claims, or he didn't bother to listen for 20 years. Either way, that could be because he wasn't interested much in the words of any Christian church.

I know you prefer to dissemble. But let's see if we can persuade you to be honest, shall we?

If the things said by CF sail over your head, that's fine. No need to get your panties in a knot. Just don't go all ape-shit about the things you simply cannot grasp.

Sadly, these folks are fine with it if it's a democrat

Sounds more like "becoming a despot".

When President Bush signed legislation with signing memos, the lefties went bat shit crazy.

When he resorted to so-called "Executive Power" at almost any time and under almost any circumstances, we were treated to lectures from the left on the dire threat of the imperial presidency.

But when President Obama does such things -- the silence of the leftie sheep deafens us.

What's that word for that blatant kind of duplicitous "standard?"

The difference from what i am seeing is Liberals wanted what Bush did struck down by the courts. Any attempt to say Bush couldn't do it, is easily proven wrong.

Case in point with torture.

Presidents can use EO's and sometimes they go beyond their power and have to be stricken down.

It has happened, it will happen again.

You are mumbling. It looks like you have the germ of a thought buried within your remarkably unclear use of the language, but I'm not gonna try to unravel the gibberish you just spewed.

If President Bush used an Executive Order to "do" somethings and you libbies reflectively presumed that he had violated the Separation of Powers, etc., of course you can go to Court. But going to Court and getting something overruled doesn't mean that it was wrong at the outset.

The Court has been known to do things completely unsupported by history and precedent.

Feel free to debate that.

and when Bush does it Francis is silent.

when Obama does it, Francis cries "dictator!"

You keep mistaking me for a big fan of Bush and I'm not!

I thought his name was 57Frank. :eusa_eh: Oh well, Francis does have a ring to it :)

If their number one priority is to sit on their hands and do whatever it takes to unseat the President, then you're damn straight!

Why won't Reid let the 15 or so bills that Congres has sent them at least be debated?

Perhaps it has something to do with McConnell and company refusing to let Dem bills come up for debate. It's fun to block the other side's agenda, but it sucks when it happens to you, huh? Too bad.

A leader that does not follow the law is called a Dick tater.

Then why not use that excuse rather than the bullshit that Congress hasn't passed anything?

They haven't passed anything. Haven't you noticed? Almost everything that Obama and Dems have proposed has been blocked by the GOP.

Obama and the Dems managed to get us downgraded without any help

According to S&P, the House GOP was mostly to blame.:lol::lol:

Not true, dumbass...

Swing and a miss....

Yes, it is true. Debunk this, moron.

New Nebraska Network:: GOP And Tea Party To Blame For S&P Downgrade

"The political brinksmanship of recent months highlights what we see as America's governance and policymaking becoming less stable, less effective, and less predictable than what we previously believed. The statutory debt ceiling and the threat of default have become political bargaining chips in the debate over fiscal policy ... It appears that for now, new revenues have dropped down on the menu of policy options."

"Compared with previous projections, our revised base case scenario now assumes that the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, due to expire by the end of 2012, remain in place. We have changed our assumption on this because the majority of Republicans in Congress continue to resist any measure that would raise revenues, a position we believe Congress reinforced by passing the act."

"We lowered our long-term rating on the U.S. because we believe that the
prolonged controversy over raising the statutory debt ceiling and the related
fiscal policy debate indicate that further near-term progress containing the
growth in public spending, especially on entitlements,
or on reaching an
agreement on raising revenues is less likely than we previously assumed and
will remain a contentious and fitful process. We also believe that the fiscal
consolidation plan that Congress and the Administration agreed to this week
falls short of the amount that we believe is necessary to stabilize the
general government debt burden by the middle of the decade."

S&P | United States of America Long-Term Rating Lowered To 'AA+' Due To Political Risks, Rising Debt Burden; Outlook Negative | Americas

Republicans passed Cut, Cap and Balance, which addressed these issues but Obama was more concerned with getting unlimited refills on his spending crack pipe
