I take it you haven't been paying much attention? The economy is still in the tank after promises of major job growth per this time. In fact, they're already talking about another stimulus. BO signed off on another 450 BILLION dollar Ominus bill--one week after he spent 750 BILLION in the so-called economic stimulus bill that really wasn't a stimulus.
