The AG Barr is widely described a biased source--ardent supporter of Donald Trump, (if maybe not the Republican Party--like the one of Eisenhower or Ford). The Democrats are inclined to compare Barr with Giuliani: Making the Office of Attorney General more the President't Personal Lawyer than any sort of watchdog over anything. The Republican Party did have to disengage from the Nixon Administration.
