Barbara Boxer = Hero

Too damned stupid to understand that for a General Officer to address her as Ma'am is one of the highest forms of respect. we have 100 assholes called Senator at any time.

I wonder if you took the 5-10 minutes it would have taken to write her a letter and to explain that to her.

Never having been miliary, nor part of a military family, if no one tells her, how would she know?
She had a proud and successful black captain of industry sitting right in front of her face, telling her point blank that she was being a condescending snotty bitch, and she continued being a condescending snotty bitch anyways.

What impact would a letter from a noncom she's never seen have?

Absolutely none, especially when she found out I couldn't vote for or against her. It is obvious with her that it is all about the power.

The same intellectually bankrupt Barbara Boxer who is bankrupting the entire nation?

Reagan and Bush bankrupted the nation by reducing taxes on the rich and increasing military spending.

They are responsible for the vast majority of the National Debt.

Well, it's simply not, that simple! .............. As your simply ranting mindless party bias to try and prove a point.

Our current situation is well shared on both sides of the isle and having people on the HILL who have been there for decade after decade is a large part of the problem, as well.

Further, if you think reducing capitalism and promoting socialistic entitlements is the answer, your sadly mistaken again.

We need a good blend of capitalism with fair over sight, smart entitlements which promote personal progression and productivity, helps those who truly need it, but, does not restrain others from succeeding.

We need politicians who will refuse much of this social BS in government, treat it more like a business and who work for the people, not for personal gain and special interest groups.

IMO, that would be a start.

A Little more on the Hero;

The PBS onlineNewshour summarizes the House Banking Scandal, also known as Rubbergate: "In 1992, many House members were suspected of bouncing checks from accounts they held at the so-called "House Bank" -- a loose operation that allowed member of Congress to cash their checks but kept shoddy records and often were quite delayed in recording deposits or withdrawals. Although the lawmakers had broken no laws and many did not even know they were bouncing checks, several took advantage of the bank system and many voters viewed the scandal as a blatant abuse of power. Of the 296 sitting representatives and 59 former members who had overdrafted their personal accounts in the preceding 39 months, the House Ethics Committee released a list of the 24 worst abusers."[1]

Boxer was among the top 24 involved in the House bank scandal. On March 1, 1992 the Sacramento Bee quoted Boxer as admitting she didn't pay enough attention to her House bank account. More specifically, that meant 143 bad checks totaling $41,417 over a three-year period that she had written on the House bank

CALIFORNIA'S BAD CHECK LAW

May 1999

A. OVERVIEW OF BAD CHECK LAW

1. [ß 1] Claim for Statutory Penalty

Under California's Bad Check Law #1, a person who has written a check to another person or business can be required to pay the amount of the check and either a statutory service charge or a statutory penalty if the check is returned by the bank due to insufficient funds. The person who wrote the check is called the "drawer" and the person or business who accepted the check is called the "payee."

Just a thought here, have we all the sudden lowered the standard for hero? or are we now in admiration of someone who has spent years in Washington D.C. and has little if anything to show for it other than the fact that Boeing is quite happy that she keeps them making C-17's the Air Force does not need?
