Apparently, you don't know much about bank deposits. They include checks, wire transfers, credit card receipts, ACH...i.e., most are electronic transfers from some form of account at a financial institution these days. The red flags go off for cash deposits of over $10K. Unless they had evidence of fraud, which is unlikely, they were singling out this long term customer due to the fact that they don't like his business.

Banks aren't obligated to make all of your funds available at all times, I guess you've never read the fine print when opening a bank account.
