Who says Democrats are opposed to electronic voting machines? Hell, back in 2016 I was told here that those machines are the devil and can be easily manipulated by Soros. Stick a finger in Soros’ eye: Use paper ballots!

Paper ballots and electronic voting both have their history of problems. What about paper ballots only for absentee voters? It's helpful to a lot of senior citizens who are too infirm to go to the polling place and wait in line. I'm a fairly young buck but every time I've voted, it's been an absentee just for the convenience of it; I've never seen the inside of my local polling place.

Paper prevents y'all from cheating...or at least paper trails...
