Baltimore Is A Democrat Mess They're Trying To Blame On The Cops

So with the cooperation of the liberal media they blame republicans and White Cops for the poverty in a democrat controlled city.

Anyone who says that anyone else blames the cops for poverty is a dumbass

Who IS being blamed for the poverty in cities like Baltimore? Republicans haven't run that city in SIXTY YEARS! Good luck blaming the GOP for that city's ills!

Its not the cops so stop saying that like a dickhead

I KNOW it's not the Police! That's obvious. So did you want to discuss what HAS turned Baltimore into the city it is today?

Shipping jobs overseas

That's made 300,000 people move out of Baltimore? What Baltimore jobs have been shipped overseas, Closed?

If you talk to people from Baltimore their chief complaints seem to center around high crime rates, high housing costs and lots of taxes and fees imposed by the city and the county. My question to you is whether those jobs you speak of have gone overseas or simply to an area that has more of what employers are looking for?

Google it bitch...I'm not wikipedia

So you're basically just pulling the whole "jobs shipped overseas" thing out of your ass because you don't want to discuss what's really gone wrong in Baltimore? Got it...

No, see, you didnt say jobs were not shipped overseas you asked me "what jobs were shipped overseas?"

You can find that out yourself but you didnt disagree with my point that jobs were shipped overseas. For example:

You say: Air is invisible
My response: how is it invisible
You say: Google it
My response: So you're just going to pull the whole "air is invisible" thing out your ass?

From my knowledge of Baltimore the only large closing of a plant was the closing of a General Motors facility and that had nothing to do with shipping jobs "over seas"...GM simply discontinued making the vehicles that were manufactured in that plant. So what jobs were shipped overseas?

From my knowledge of Baltimore the only large closing of a plant was the closing of a General Motors facility and that had nothing to do with shipping jobs "over seas"...GM simply discontinued making the vehicles that were manufactured in that plant. So what jobs were shipped overseas?

Baltimore used to be an industrial powerhouse. Aside from car manufacturing, there were alot of shipping jobs at the port, and steel manufacturing jobs, as well as thriving whiskey and oil industries. These slowly dried up for a variety of reasons. Outsourcing of jobs overseas never was a direct stab at Baltimore's economy, but the national trend contributed to the slow death of Baltimore's industrial economy. In order to try to reinvigorate the city's economy there were investments a few decades ago into the inner harbor and downtown which have yielded a tourism driven economy of mostly service sector jobs. If there is one factor greatest factor that is to be blamed for Baltimore's present day struggles, it's the '68 riots that left major parts of the city barren for decades, up to the present day.

Taxes and fees are high in Baltimore, making tough times even more difficult for the many poor and just-over-broke in Baltimore. But on the other hand, these monies have been invested by the local government into improving and re-energizing the city. Restoration continues to be a long and difficult process, and has been hindered for decades by a perpetually decreasing population (this past year being the first time in decades that the city saw a net increase in population).

So, ask yourself - who established the policies for investment of these funds? Who decided the tax and fee levels that make it " ... even more difficult for the many poor"? Who determined the restoration path? Who established the social condition that drove people from Baltimore?

The mess in Baltimore is top to bottom a Democrat invention they're trying to pawn off on the police.

Riot-Plagued Baltimore Is a Catastrophe Entirely of the Democratic Party s Own Making National Review Online

"Democrats rule urban cesspools and have for decades.

No Republican, and certainly no conservative, has left so much as a thumbprint on the public institutions of Baltimore in a generation. Baltimore’s police department is, like Detroit’s economy and Atlanta’s schools, the product of the progressive wing of the Democratic party enabled in no small part by black identity politics. This is entirely a left-wing project, and a Democratic-party project.”

The Real Freddie Gray

"Freddie Gray had an extensive criminal record, and this was well known to police officers in the community. He was, in short, known to engage in unlawful criminal activity with a frequency that would in any other context be considered evidence of a notable work ethic. He had at least 18 arrests in the ~8 years between 2007 and his death in 2015 -- and it is worth keeping in mind that the only reason his arrest record here begins in only in 2007 is that prior arrests would be sealed as juvenile records.

It is also notable that although Gray’s early arrests were apparently confined to drug offenses, in later years he began to be charged with acts of violence, including several charges on differing dates of second-degree assault, as well as burglary.

In addition, the neighborhood where the arrest occurred is known more generally for being a high-crime area, and so the police would be expected to be particularly attuned for indications of criminal conduct.

In this context the police observe well-known criminal Gray acting in a manner that they perceive as noteworthy. The police begin to approach Gray, a form of police conduct that requires no particular legal justification at least until an actual interaction has begun. Observing the police approach, Gray substantially increases the suspiciousness of his conduct by fleeing the officers."

Political philosophies don't enter into managing a local level government. There's nothing "right" or "left" about whether the trash gets picked up on Tuesday versus Wednesday.

It's stupefying that you partisan hacknoids just keep running the same play thinking it will work this time.

Urban issues are sociocultural -- not political. You clowns continually running this noise generator in this juvenile political football game scoreboard are just prolonging the problems and feeding division.

Managing a local government isn't just about picking up trash. It involves political philosophy. My local government just went through that very thing. You had those that wanted to continue having city employees of the public works department do it and those that wanted to privatize it by contracting with a 3rd party. Since I sat in the meetings, I can tell you that while whether or not it gets picked up wasn't right vs. left, how it was going to take place did involve that very thing.

Sorry, you lose again, BOY.

That lame excuse? It didn't work with DETROIT, michigan.

I agree, it's unfair to blame the cops. The awful problems in places like Detroit, Chicago, and Baltimore, should be blamed on those in positions of power. That should be the case whether it's Democrats or Republicans. The cops are trained a certain way and do what they're ordered to do. The problems in those communities are much deeper than just being a cop issue.

Those in power are responsible for the misery. But if the people don't hold them accountable by voting them out, nothing will ever change. Einstein said it best... "Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Some of these communities need to make changes in their leadership.

A government agency posing police powers can and will destroy a community when that agency is corrupt at the levels we've seen in furgeson.
