Crime in their communities because they can't defend themselves with guns in order to run the criminals out.
Businesses move out because of high crime.
Loss of city taxes because the majority have low paying jobs or on public assistance.
Cops have to start raising revenue from misdemeanor tickets, because there is not enough taxes to pay to run the police departments.
They are on fixed incomes so they can't pay the tickets that add up to hundreds of dollars, they go to jail and lose their jobs and have to go on public assistance again.
It's a vicious cycle that has squished their hopes and dreams for the future of their young people.
