Bachmann Overtakes Romney in New Iowa Poll

This is going to send liberals into fits of fear and rage!:lol::lol::lol:

Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has surpassed former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney in a recent Iowa poll that was conducted by TheIowaRepublican.com. With Bachmann now leading in Iowa, Romney has fallen to second place, but he is still well ahead of third place finisher Tim Pawlenty, who has overtaken Herman Cain my a miniscule margin.

Bachmann’s campaign has taken off like a rocket since participating and announcing her presidential intentions during the CNN debate in New Hampshire last month. Here in Iowa, Bachmann has been playing up her Iowa roots. She officially announced her candidacy in Waterloo, the town in which she was born and spent her formative years. The night before she made her announcement, Bachmann’s campaign hosted a rally for 500 locals who came to welcome her home.

While Bachmann’s lead over Romney is just within the margin of error, the poll’s cross tabs show how much momentum her campaign has generated in Iowa. Her favorability is ten points higher than Romney’s, who had the second highest number in that category. Her unfavorable figure is 14 points lower than Romney’s, giving her a stellar plus 65 favorability margin. Her numbers suggest that Bachmann has found a very effective way to appeal to caucus goers.

Bad news for RINOs and liberals. The voters don't want another McCain. Romney has made a huge mistake. He let slip just how much of a phony he is, when it comes to conservatism.

Voters don't want to make the same mistake they made in 2008. They want a real conservative this time.

It's 1980 happening all over again. Only this time our Reagan's wear skirts!

Wow... you do realize that she's FROM Iowa, right? Second... great. Bring her on. Her winning the nomination pretty much guarantees Obama a second term. No moderate is going to vote for her... she's a loon.

Stop posting those disgusting pictures and change your borderline child's eye candy of a Sig. It's disturbing to say the least.

So Bachmann is beating Romney in Iowa. I am a liberal and I'm thrilled!!! Why wouldn't I be??? The fact that you think otherwise means you don't have the slightest idea what's going on in the world.

All I heard today was how pissed off everybody is about her and hubby's clinic that can change people from gay to straight. Oh, that went over like a lead balloon!!

Then I read this:

All over America, newspapers and magazines are reporting on Tim Pawlenty's criticism of his rival for the GOP nomination, Michele Bachmann. "Her record of accomplishment in Congress is non-existent," he said Sunday on Meet the Press. I suppose a campaign barb is newsworthy. But the bigger story here is the fact that Bachmann, who is rising in the Iowa polls, does in fact have a resume that's absurdly thin for someone seeking the White House. Ponder its shortcomings: she has no foreign policy experience, no executive experience, has never sponsored or co-sponsored a bill that became law, has never chaired a committee or subcommittee, and cannot even claim notable success outside the public sector like Mitt Romney.:lol::lol:

I am certainly not a Pawlenty fan, but he was right on the money here!!!

You were sadly mistaken. We are happy tonight. You really have nothing to gloat about. Poor thing. :)

She wont beat Romney in the end, but lets just wait and see if Perry jumps in,,cause he will likely over-take Romney, and it just may wind up a ticket amongst the three of them, If Perry wins,he would only choose Bachmann as VP depending on her vote count/as compared to Romney, and if Romney isnt VP,,then we may just have Treasury Secretary Romney?

When the time comes, I think they will roll out Rubio for the VP slot regardless of who is on top of the ticket.

As far as Bachmann goes, I have always felt she has the best chance to oust an incumbent and that she would have major (Tea Party) coattails. So I consider her one of the best choices they could make.

I hope she gets the nomination.

She's easy on the eyes...and guarantees a big win for Democrats in 2012. Not only the whitehouse but the House and Senate.

Now, I'm getting old, and maybe even a tad senile, but I seem to remember people saying the EXACT same thing about a very right wing ex-governor in 1980 being the best guy for the Dems because Jimmy Carter would beat him easily

Oh, yeah, his name was Ronald Reagan.

If unemployment is still at 9%, the Repubicans can run the Cheney/C'Thulhu ticket and win big. ("Cheney and C'Thulhu 2012... why vote for the lesser of two evils?")

As for the Senate, Republicans are only defending 10 seats (all but two of them safe) while Democrats are defending 23. More than likely, they'll take hits.

For the house, redistricting is being controlled by republican governors and republican legistlators, for the most part.

The Lady With the Face is more of a force than Palin. Palin already ran the gauntlet and did the dirty work.

Bachmann works in Iowa because Iowans like their average Joe families. Obama's win in Iowa was more to a local leadership cave to the DNC by unions and Dem leaders than by dislike of Senator Clinton. Iowa is a caucus state. I know. I lived there. :) So the people who vote are the ones that REALLY care and are really active.

I could've predicted that one :p. But seriously, it will be a Bachmann-Pawlently hoedown showdown.

While it sounds counter-intuitive, a Palin-Bachmann ticket is 10x more frightening than a 'normal' Republican candidate.

oh, and PS: Republicans in Iowa aren't going to caucus for Cain. Even though he hates Muslims more than Bachmann, he's still, you know...black.

Romney's weak at best.. plus he's a liberal in a R suit. Fuck him and the Kennedy's... and the other idiot Keary. May as well Bwaney Fwank to the list as well, that cock sucker.
Mass. Where politicians really know how to Fuck things up, lie and walk away smiling.

Have to wait and see what happens down the road in other states as Bachmann benefits from sort of a "favorite daughter" status with some Iowans. Nonetheless, it has to be a cause for concern for team Romney.

It's way early and lots will likely change in the months ahead.

As much as I'd love to see Bachmann win the GOP nomination, Republicans are not that stupid, But she should be able to insert enough of her lunatic social, religious and political positions into the platform to ensure that whoever wins the nomination will be whipped by Obama
