Just another racist movie, with mighty whitey coming to save and to conquer all. Thats just one of the reasons I still haven't seen it yet. When will you white liberals learn to stop insulting minorities with your moives?!, it is very insulting to watch.

you haven't seen it,but yet you will comment....my doctor is a black man....he saw it and thought it was a pretty dam good movie.....but there lies the difference....one black man goes and checks it out....another one sits on his fat ass listening to all these other peoples comments and then formulates his opinion....the reason you havent gone yet 53Rd is because you would not understand it....its Sci-fi....you have to have a little bit of intellect to grasp what it is about.....

I Doubt it... If anything it's Cameron's White Guilt BLEEDING out in the Characters he Created...

I don't Doubt that he was being Sympathetic to the Real and Perceived Wrongs Against Blacks when Creating this Film.

Of more Pressing Concern is how many Avatard's have Cobained themselves since Last Night's Loss.

There were a few Avatar threads but I chose to comment in this one as the OP was the most blatantly stupid.

Finally saw the movie this past weekend, and while the plot was way too predictable the special effects and scenery were super. I see now why the right wing conservatives were whining over its story line, Cameron even used 'preemptive' and 'shock and awe' in the dialogue. Is it possible to imagine all the innocent Iraqi men women and children dying too soon and so horribly over a lie? Nah, few would ever enter that area of morality. No one goes there as then things would cease to make sense.

I did find the idea that these people lived in harmony with their environment, much as certain American natives did, interesting but missing from the heart of modern man. Surely another expedition would be funded if big money wanted more money. For those interested in a real world exploration of this idea of harmony with nature check out Derrick Jensen sometime and especially "A Language older than Words." In the sequel, the Navi can live on reservations with casinos, nah, too off the wall idea for people who loved to hunt and fish.
