Australian parents flock to US clinics to choose baby’s gender

Not sure that constitutes a flock.

Prior to the ban being upheld in April last year, Kolb Fertility Australia said it was sending about five people to its clinic in Pasadena California each month for gender selection.

Now they are sending 15 to 20 every month, and hundreds each year.

I do not believe the gov't should ban such services if you can pay for them. However, I don't believe it's ethical either. If you are at high risk for a genetic disease, that's one thing. If you just have a preference for one gender or another, I don't believe that's cause enough to "play God" with your children. YMMV
