Australia slashes worker visas Turnbull: We are putting Australians first

Overall there are 95,758 people in Australia on a 457 visa, the biggest portion of these are from India (24.6 per cent), followed by the UK (19.5pc) and China (5.8pc).

The Aussie mining industry has shrunk significantly in recent years from $120 billion to $90 billion and the country does not need foreign workers anymore as it used to be, when the Aussie economy was booming in the 2000s. Indians and British workers will be mostly affected by the change.
