Thousands mark Australia Day with protest against white colonization

Its a bit of a kick in the teeth for the indigenous people.

But probably an apt day to celebrate western culture.

To recap, a bunch of criminals and prostitutes landed in Australia, got drunk and had an orgy.

Well worth a celebration.

Back many years ago, colleges and universities used to teach courses called, "Western Civilization."

Through a long and painful process, "western" people - White Europeans, if you want to look at it that way - progressed from being cave-dwelling hunter-gatherers to being the most advanced civilization in the world. Their accomplishments in culture, language, the arts, politics, technology, medicine, transportation, warfare, architecture, philosophy (including religion), and communication fill many, many volumes.

But as with every march of progress, some sins were committed. Slavery, massacres, virtual or actual genocide, theft in a hundred different forms, torture, subjugation, and so on. But the overall dramatic improvements in the human condition are UNDENIABLE. Indeed, most of those conquered or overwhelmed by the "westerners" as they made their push forward and outward benefitted greatly IF THEY CHOSE TO ASSIMILATE and/or get with the program.

And yet there are those among us who "regret" that Westerners didn't just stay where they were and not bother anyone outside Western Europe, leaving the aboriginals to continue their ignorant, pathetic hunter-gatherer existence in a blissful peace that ever actually existed.

These people are idiots.
