And as an Arkansas fan, I couldn't be happier. Today, the Arkansas Razorbacks ousted the #2 ranked Auburn Tigers as the champs of the SEC west in a brutal 27-10 upset, bringing their SEC record to 3-0, and their total record to 4-1 (with the only loss being to #1 ranked USC). Quarterback Mustain and running back McFadden were clearly the stars on the Arkansas side though they hardly won the game by themselves. Arkansas' offense was on fire, bringing in 3 touchdowns and 2 field goals. Key among the scores were McFadden's 63 yard rushing touchdown run, a key touchdown pass to wide reciever Monk, who literally reached around the man guarding him to come away with the football, and a failed 4th down conversion giving Arkansas the ball in Auburn's territory, resulting in a touchdown (19 yards behind the original Auburn line of scrimmage). Arkansas' defense was also top notch, holding the Tigers to only 2 scoring drives and scoring 5 sacks, one of them on the aforementioned 4th down attempt. This represents a huge shift in the balance of power in the SEC, giving Arkansas contention for huge bowl game opportunities and largely crushing Auburn's hopes for the national title.
