What I don't understand is why people of RELIGION not FAITH are so concerned that people don't join their religion. If people WANT to join all the have to do is seek out a preacher or a church.

Atheism is a logical conclusion for people who don't have their minds stuck in a book of fiction written some 1500 years ago.
I would say that everyone starts out atheist, otherwise, why would you need sunday school and the bible? You'd know all that stuff already.

Or in other words, its the easy solution for someone too lazy to actually research and explore.

That is what a secular humanist agnostic atheist would do, because we know life is fleeting and it's meaning is indefinable.
