While atheism has been a fad on the internet for some time, as far as history and historical cycles go, this doesn't seem to be anything completely novel, but something of a trend which cycles from time-to-time.

Back during Fredrich Nietzche's day and age, it seems that a similar popular trend of atheism and existentialism was the popular fad of the day; this is why he wrote "God is dead, and we've killed him"; from what I recall he wasn't actually entirely happy with it, since even though he was an atheist, he believed that religion or God at least provided some semblance of meaning to life, while popular atheism didn't.

Just like tattoos piercings gay marriage and sex changes...all a big fad...

Atheists' actually value life more, they do not look forward to heaven, they know they create heaven on earth or hell on earth. When you are dead, its over, done.

Have any evidence for atheists valuing life more? According to a study, religious people live longer than atheists.

No it only makes sense since you have one life to lead, there is no second chances with heaven or even hell. For most atheist, this is all there is.

All of that makes sense. But notice that God has nothing to do with it. Religion may prevent you from making bad life decisions, but that’s not to say God exists. It’s just that fear of God can influence your decisions.

Your link doesn't work on the bottom.

I've never heard it put that way that the religious make better decisions due to thinking God exists. I think it has to do with education and understanding what atheist scientists did with food science. This is part of the reason why evolution is promoted so much -- to shorten people's lives. We can't have seniors living to their 90s. The can die in their 70s and then require medicine to live in their 50s and 60s.

What the religious and conservatives have learned is that the way things were done in the past is better. This is what food labeled as organic is today. It just means it is grown the way it was in the past. It also means to avoid GMO foods and processed foods as evolutionary thinking has poisoned the food chain. Why do you think it is so hard to get GMO foods and ingredients labeled on the package?

Genetic modification is supposed to lengthen life instead, isn't it? Is that the atheist belief?
