I also think it is cool that the Muslim soldier is fighting for what he believes in - FREEDOM OF RELIGION. That is what this country is founded on. The company I work for is very similar in that there is a multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-religious work force, and everybody still wakes up, goes to work, eats, craps, and falls sleep like each other. Everybody wants to have a nice house, good health, raise their kids the way they think is right, etc. It is just the ignorant ones who teach their kids the same ignorant beliefs (racism, hatred, persecution, etc.)
If their parents raised them to be fair, honest and tolerant, and yet strict with those who commit crimes, life would be better. Unfortunately, it is the ignorant ones who are the most vocal and visible, thanks to the media's obsession with pushing the edges of decency.
