At DNC The Lion Still Roars!

Hehe...Bush Derangement Syndrome.
I was once booted from a writer's message board for noting the similarities between mental illness and liberalism.

I find the voluntary compassion and personal want to take care of others inspiring... I find the government forced/mandated aspect of that disgusting.... compassion is a personal thing... not something government mandated

As for hope... hope in one hand and shit in the other and see which one fills up faster... "hope" is not a reason to elect an inexperienced socialist asshole like Obama

How much is your government retirement check?

Anyone ever been to a convention?

I remember in 2004, at both conventions, people were smiling and laughing and looking like they were having a good time. To me, watching on TV, it looked boring as hell but obviously the attendees were having a great time.

Do they have open bars?

conventions are a hoot... I was on the floor of the Democratic Convention in 1992... didn't get to see Clinton speak, but I was there for Mario Cuomo's speech.

For politics junkies, it's an adrenaline rush.

For pete's sakes, I've heard him called that, and I generally run the other way when people talk about Kennedys......I'm not a big fan of wiki, but it has it's uses. Accept that it's been one of his nicknames. Probably one he created and publicized himself, but still.

please find a better source than wikipedia

how's this?

The liberals' liberal - The Boston Globe

or this?

'Liberal Lion' Ted Kennedy To Back Obama

this?

Intrepid Liberal Journal: Ted Kennedy: The Liberal Lion

or this?

Word for Word: The voice of the Senate's "liberal lion" (Edward Kennedy) from American Public Media

you do know that some things are just a given, right? although I think some other people have been called "liberal lion" as well.... daniel patrick moynihan being one of them.

Like I said I grew up in MA and have and I never heard anyone call ol' teddy the liberal lion until his brain tumor was announced.

Can't help you there. Another one of you Maine-ites (or maybe it was you) claims that because the private logging industry in Maine is dying, shutting down the industry in the Northwest had no discernible effect.....

The world doesn't revolve around your little piece of ground. There's a big, wide world out there bud.

 that was just a throw away post...

ted kennedy has absolutely, positively, without a doubt been called "the liberal lion" for years, waaaaay before he was ever diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor.

this morning, i didn't have time to find a link and i figured wiki had a good shot of including at least a link to some reference...

anyway, what's your point? he's not a liberal lion and they're just pretending for the sympathy vote? :cuckoo:
