Your post is unresponsive. The subject under discussion was what the likely consequences of an Israeli strike against Iran's nuclear program might be with respect to Lebanon and Gaza, not your fantasies about PNAC. You speculation that Israel will not strike Iran's nuclear program without US backing because it has not already done it makes no sense at all. "Israel has never had US backing in any of its military operations."

Here you have struck the motherload of reckless ignorance: "Israel has never had U.S. backing in any of its military operations"??? Whom do you imagine supplies the high-tech toys you wondrous idiot??? Who foots the bill??? who furnishes U.S. military advisors??? You stupidity is breathataking...invariably there is one standout on any discussion venue invoving Israel...one poster whose measured stupidity shatters that of all other aspirants...

As you can see, Skitt is really going to town with his trademark words against another poster -- stupidity, ignorance. etc. Meanwhile, he is ignorant himself since whatever help the U.S. gives the Israelis is such a small percentage of their defense budget. Imagine if Israel didn't constantly have to defend itself against its neighbors and didn't have to have a huge defense budget what good they could do for the world if the money was spent on scientific innovations. However, Skitt certainly doesn't mind the help we give to Muslim countries because they are his buddies who will get rid of the Israelis for him. Now go ahead and call me ignorant and stupid, Skitt. Evidently you have such a low self-esteem that it makes you feel good calliing posters by those words. I certainly hope your psychiatrist is working on this aspect of your personality.

Yes, with words like "stupid" and "ignorant", Sundowner's true identity has been revealed. And why go by 2 or 3 different names? Are you like Sybil with the multiple identities? Man up and call yourself by one name.

Apparently, you are too befuddled to even understand your own posts, let alone the topics under discussion. I was responding to your statement

Israel will not launch a strike on Iran without the assurred backing of the U.S. military...otherwise it would have already happened

Clearly, by US backing you meant something other than the US military aid you are now posting about, at least a green light if not more. A more astute and knowledgeable poster than yourself might have pointed out that Israel did have a US green light for second Lebanon war and for Cast Lead, but the US strongly opposed the 1956 Sinai campaign and Israel proceeded without a US green light. The US demanded that Israel rely on diplomacy rather than attack Egypt in 1967, but Israel proceeded despite US opposition. The US strongly opposed and later strongly condemned the bombing of Iraq's Osirak reactor in 1981, but Israel proceeded anyway. The US strongly opposed and initially strongly condemned the reoccupation of the West Bank during the second intifada, but Israel did it anyway. The US strongly opposed the 2007 destruction of Syria's nuclear reactor, but Israel blew it up anyway.

What is evident to anyone familiar with the history of events in the region is that Israel has never needed the approval of the US or any other country before taking military actions it deemed necessary to its national security and unlike so many other US strategic allies, Israel has never asked the US to send its soldiers into battle for it.

...A more "astute and knowledgeable poster than yourself' might've recognized that this is the game that Israel and the U.S. play before the world media...it is unthinkable that you lack the critical insight to read between the lines---especially when the lines are difficult to miss. The U.S. typically scolds Israel with a sly wink and a nod...this is the routine, and its hasn't really changed much. Everything that Israel undertakes is 'green-lighted" by the U.S. The entire economy of that nation is underwritten by U.S. taxpayers...the game we are currently witnessing in the media was pre-determined, just as U.S./Israeli plans for a strike on Iran are most likely ready to go...the identical propaganda techniques are obvious throughout western media...it takes considerable ideological discipline to miss these processes, as previously noted I can only cringe at your swaggering ignorance...

Skitt can't seem to stand if one dollar of his money is spent on Israel, but he seems to have all the time in the world to post so evidently he doesn't have a job and isn't paying taxes. While most of the money for Israel has to be spent here in our own defense industry, giving jobs to American workers, the tons of money we have given to other countries have landed up in the pockets of the corrupt leaders. Evidently Skitt doesn't care about this since he has never moaned about it, but is always moaning about Israel. If Skitt can't stand the fact that help is given Israel and the U.S. is always complicit and winks at whatever Israel does (after all the "brilliant" Skitt knows everything that goes on), perhaps it is time for him to leave the country. I am sure he can find some other country that will fit his needs and who will take care of him so that he doesn't have to work. I hear that England is good about this.

BTW: it is the ultimate signature of self-defeat when some pucker feels emboldened to pronounce "love it or leave it"....this requires a simplified faculty for self-expression that we might readily associate with resis monkeys.......sigh

Does the "brilliant" Skitt have a Top Secret clearance that enables him to sit in on all these high level meetings so that he knows that the U.S. scolds Israel and then winks at whatever they do? Or perhaps they send a courier with a cover stamped FYI Only on their report to you know where, the place where they teach you composition and creative writing and always tell you to mention that people are idiots, ignorant, stupid, etc. It really pathetic that so far they haven't been able to boost his self-esteem so that he still feels he must call others names like these all the time.
