Ask a Progressive

Nice little 'Civil War' Rascist ephitet thrown out there by the prominent Rascist on these boards...*Yes You Deanie*...Are we Rebels?

*YOU BET*. Try the Constitution for once in your stinkin' miserable life. It is more than an old moldy document...it has alot of meaning...something the likes of you fail to grasp to foward your Socialist/Progressive agenda on the rest of us that revere the Document and it's meaning.

The Constitution: It's More than a document...It's the basis of LAW that has been ignored for far too long. *WE call your likes on it.

Bring me the part in the Constitution where our founding fathers mention corporations and that they supported affording corporations and special interest the ability to buy legislation that benefits them at the expense of We, the People?

Commerce. Remember that word. The present crop are destroying it...with the Economy in tow.

Commerce...as in 'Chamber of...'

Chamber of Commerce Urges Large Stimulus Package

Wednesday, January 7, 2009; 1:22 PM

Forecasting unemployment rates as high as 9 percent this year, U.S. Chamber of Commerce president and chief executive Thomas J. Donohue today called on state and federal governments to fully fund programs for the jobless and pass a "significant" economic stimulus package.

While the U.S. Chamber, which represents 3 million businesses and engages one of the best-funded lobbying forces on Capitol Hill, typically advocates for less government spending and regulation, the extraordinary economic stress in the United States -- which he likened to a heart attack -- demands extraordinary measures, he said.

"What we are talking about is a defibrillator," Donohue said. "We are trying to shock the economy."

No, of course not, but given republican incompetence from Coolidge/Hoover and Reagan Bushs, it is sometimes required to save the Nation from a complete meltdown. Please realize someone has to correct the problems caused by republican voodoo economics and chickhawk hubris. Or are you Rip Van Winkle's cousin Frank?

He did? That is news to me. Obama ran on a change from a plutocracy which was ruining the nation to a society that considered there were more people in the US besides the wealthy and connected. This concept is beyond you social Darwinists, but there are lots of third worl nations in which you would be right at home.

I already posted the proof that this is easily done. Were you asleep or just lost in deep thought listening to Rush and Glenn? See below.

Yep, same way Reagan did, raise taxes and salary levels. Also control costs. And I do fine, let's not make this personal, let's consider once at least the health of the whole Nation.

Not in my opinion, actually I think none of them are far enough left if left means liberal in the sense JFK wrote. "If by a 'Liberal' they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a 'Liberal,' then I'm proud to say I'm a 'Liberal.'" "We challenged two leading British scientists to try to prove the science of global warming to a group of people whose views very loosely reflect national opinions.

And, as if that wasn't tough enough we asked them to do it in my kitchen.

Can they do it? Well, you can see for yourself."

1. Until the start of WWII, unemployment under FDR AVERAGED 17% for 8 years do you consider that a success?

2. I posted Obama as fiscally responsible spending cut quotes, what do you have to offset that?

3. I've dismantled your Global Warming "Proof" each and every time and once again, I'll repeat my request: please show me one single repeatable laboratory experiment where teeny tiny (maybe you don't know what deminimus means) increases in CO2 causes a rise in temperature.

I'm not asking to prove that CO2 is a greenhouse gas, I'm asking you to show us how a 200PPM (part per MILLION) increase causes these imaginary climate changes you suppose.

I'm glad you admit there is nobody that is too far left, not even Socialist Bernie Sanders or Neo-National Socialist Barack Obama

Are you even listening to yourself?

If something is fundamentally flawed with a system we shouldn't attempt to change it?

I guess the founders had it wrong.

As do YOU have it WRONG. The Founders MEANT for the people to be watching and question EVERYTHING Government was doing...for it had and HAS a direct impact on our lives.

They by their writings told us to be suspicious of those we elect for the very reason that THEY wouldn't necessarily have our interests at heart...and we were to take ZERO with a grain of salt...Trust NO ONE...Question Early and Often.

Defend the Liberty.

NO they didn't have it wrong. The people for generations HAVE for TRUSTING the crroks and LIARS we are faced with NOW.

And *YOU* have trouble with this precept? How exactly? "A Republic if you can keep it" sounds as some pretty SAGE advice if you ask me.

I have no idea what you're getting at but it's quite clear that the founders weren't people who blindingly stuck to tradition nor fled from the idea of change which is what Crusader seems to want judging from his quotes.

If the people want to fix something in the Constitution the Founders put in an Amendment process. That process ended when Progressives figured how to circumvent it via SCOTUS

LOL!

What crap!

Where was the scientist who was a skeptic?

Why did she pump the second bottle full of CO2 when a more realistic experiment would be to put .2ml into the 1000 ml bottle bottle because that's your hypothesis not 600ml in a 1,000 ml bottle.

You guys are so fucked! Your experiment show what a joke your theory is! Your not just putting your thumb on the scale your sitting your fat asses on the scale!

LOLOLOL!

3. If mankind is warming the planet with CO2 how come you can't replicate the results in even a single laboratory experiment?

You mean an experiment showing CO2 causes a greenhouse effect? We've known that for a while. It's why Venus is hotter than Mercury despite being further from the sun.

I'm not sure just what you're asking for.

Do you understand the difference between 200 part per million and 980,000 parts per million?

My question to progressives, is, "what is so progressive about going backwards"? Why take a perfectly good word and manipulate it to mean something that it does not?

"progressives/leftists" do that a lot, the word "choice". Just one example

Dismissed on PARTISAN lines by me. it's MORE than this. And *YOU* pretend that the -Other Side- is blameless?

Shed the partisan blinders...would you?

blameless?

absolutely not. I just happen to honestly believe that the right bears a greater amount of the blame for the policy direction of the previous administration and the problems those policies have gotten us into. I would not begin to try to claim that history is not replete with examples of the left making similar sorts of ill advised policy decisions and that those decisions led to several different periods of unfortunate consequences. Today, however, in my opinion, eight years of ill advised Bush economic policy and absolutely HORRID foreign policy has pushed us to the brink of hell.

You can keep pulling that number out of thin air it still doesn't mean anything.

I guess I should have asked the Progressive brain trust: Bill Maher, Al Franken and Jon Stewart because with a few exception I'm getting few answers and fewer that make sense.

Can you Progressives post this at DU and KOS and see how you're supposed to respond?

I can't figure out if you're ignorant or just plain fucking stupid.

Currently, CO2 is about 300 PPM and Warmers are saying that the recent "increase" of 100PPM is causing "ManMade Global Warming"

With me so far?

I answered you right away... either have the balls to address my reply point by point or just slink away and stfu.

Obama didn't run as a fiscal conservative? Then why was he constantly running his piehole about balancing the budget?

10 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

He admits there's an 800 year lag between warming and CO2 increase but somehow, today, teeny tiny increases in CO2 are causing instantaneous changes and once again, I don't see this "tiny increases in CO2 causes instantaneous changes" verified by any laboratory experiment.

Mee-thane, fucking annoying

There are questions I'd like to ask of Progressives and what better place than here:

I agree....this is a fine place

1. Is government the answer to every problem?

no. and I know of no progressive who has even suggested otherwise

he didn't.

I am not an environmental scientist, and, I don't think you are either, so any answers or rebuttals that either one of us gives will just be what we've read from one of a zillion partisan sources on each side. My layman's view is that it is just plain common sense that if we shit in our own nest with excrement fouler than anything seen in the history of the planet and in volumes that dwarf anything seen in the history of the planet, it is not that much of a stretch of the imagination to think that there would be some horrific negative consequences

4. Are you ever going to address the funding shortfalls in the Federal social programs?

not just yet. Neither did you all when you ran everything for six years. we'll get to it about as fast as YOU got to it.

5. Is there any Democrat currently in government that is "too far Left"?

I don't know the political philosophies of every democrat currently in government, but even if I did, I know that every political movement needs people on the fringes to remind the rest of them where they come from, and people in the middle who remind those on the fringes that finding common ground is, and has always been, the mark of good government.

1. We agree this is a good place.

2. Can you name one proposed solution to any problem that did or does not involve additional governmental intervention?

3. Global Warming. I know enough science to know that the Warmers refuse to subject their absurd theory in a laboratory setting.

4. Entitlement. Yes, Bush and Delay were Domestic Progressives and at the very time Walmart announce they would sell generic drugs at $4/bottle, our government added a new drug entitlement program. Bush and Delay are Statists, not Conservatives.

5. But you can't name a single fringe Democrat? Do you have access to the Internet or newspapers?

No he did not say instantaneous changes you're just making that part up.

Oh and do tell me of an experiment that can replicate the conditions of the entire planet, if you think it's oh so easy.

Oh and the 800 year lag doesn't disprove global warming so don't even bother with that.
