Cleveland. Feel mah pain.
Ashton Kutcher is in hard training for the apocalypse, but this no big screen role: he's afraid that armageddon is coming.

Speaking to Men's Fitness, Kutcher predicts that the "end of days" is on its way, and he wants to be prepared for the inevitable madness. He told the magazine (quotes via JustJared):

"It won't take very much, I'm telling you. It will not take much for people to hit the panic button. The amount of convenience that people rely on based on electricity alone. You start taking out electricity and satellites, and people are going to lose their noodle. People don't have maps anymore. People use their iPhones or GPS systems, so if there's no electricity, nobody has maps."
And then what? The way Kutcher sees it, all chaos breaks.

"And people are going to go, 'That land's not yours, prove that it's yours,' and the only thing you have to prove it's yours is on an electric file. Then it's like, 'What's the value of currency, and whose food is whose?' People's alarm systems at their homes will no longer work. Neither will our heating, our garbage disposals, hot-water heaters that run on gas but depend on electricity - what happens when all our modern conveniences fail? I'm going to be ready to take myself and my family to a safe place where they don't have to worry."

So what's a soothsaying star supposed to do when he sees the end of the world? Kutcher is stocking up on guns and spending hours and hours running the canyons near his home, pushed on by visions of being chased by wild boar. He's also taking daily bikram yoga sessions, and learning Krav Maga, a deadly Israeli combat technique taught to high-powered special ops.

"All of my physical fitness regimen is completely tailored around the end of day. I stay fit for no other reason than to save the people I care about."

Sounds like his toughest role yet.

I dun know what version of Revelations he's been reading, but it sounds wrong to me.

"One Second After"

He's read it, I guarantee, and it has affected him the way it affects almost everyone who reads it.

The scenario laid out in the book is one which we will definitely face in the future. It is not a question of "if," it is only a question of "when."

Charming. That's what we all need to enhance our lives -- a bunker mentality.

BTW, if Kutcher is not relying on the Book Of Revelations, why does he refer to the "end of days"?

Read the book. It will fuck up your entire world, because you'll realize how real, simple, and inevitable it is.

The end of days will be preceded by events such as that presented in One Second After. The signs will be there, but no one will know for sure when the end of days begins, except God. I can see how he could refer to it that way, and I suppose its possible he hasn't read the book, but I seriously doubt he is smart enough to have envisioned the scenario on his own.

Personally, I think the end of days is generations away still, but I believe the post-EMP world (One Second After) could be coming any day now, and likely will happen in my lifetime. It is too simple, too cheap, and there are too many people in the world who hate the US.

Including Americans.

If he's so worried then he should be learning about Camping, Fishing, Hunting, First Aid, Tailoring and Farming.

Martial arts are really going to be worth much in a ruined society.

Martial arts will be priceless, unless you run into one of the few who still has ammunition :)

And Bob's your uncle.

Yeah, yeah, I know.

I'm still stockpiling .308 and .223 though. I can always sell it off if I don't need it for barter. And I'm LOVING gold and silver over the past 5 years!

I never thought I'd hear myself say this (or see myself write this) but Ashton may be the smartest thing Ive ever seen him say.

Seems kind of foolish to me not to prepare for the hard times that are coming. Though obviously we need more than just martial arts

Ive never really understood the gold/silver craze.

Seriously, if society breaks down, whats going to be more important gold/silver, or food/weapons?

Whats it matter if you have gold if you cant eat it?

Many folks thou out history have predicted the end of the world and all seeminly had valid reason

none of them were right including this dick head .
the world planets /universe etc will continue to evolve as it is now actually the universe is infinite (no beginning no end ) so something will be around one way of the other
the human race might distroy its self that i can imagine happening, then the earth will be inhabited as it oringinally was by lower caste species . of which some are extinct and we will join that group
nothing with angels / horses . etc will ever happen its all in your minds .
