While the total membership of this board may be a microcosm of the US population in many ways, the active membership (those that read and post regularly) likely includes many that never visit the Political Forum. Of those that visit the Political Forum regularly, I suspect that most are right of center (the leftists likely give up more quickly when their sick logic is exposed repeatedly) so I conclude that the results of this particular poll will not be indicative of the November vote distribution. In other words, it is meaningless and has no bearing on reality.

It does present an opportunity to inform those dear Ron Paul supporters that a voter for Ron Paul, while possibly sending a message to Ron that he is appreciated, will weaken the effort to get the goddamned Marxist asshole Obama out of office.

A vote for Ron Paul will be a vote for Obama! Don't waste your vote! Vote for Romney!

The problem with the entire country is that the right sees Obama as you just stated, a Marxist, when in fact he is a moderate just like Bush. The right on this board does represent a respectable percentage of the populace, but the truth is the percentage is not that large in comparison to the rest of the country. Here on USMB, the vast majority are right leaning. Of course, nobody here is considered a moderate by the right. If you are not on the right, then you are obviously a left wing socialist marxist communist who believes that the nanny state is what is best for us all. But that is the way these types of forums usually go. Those in the middle just give up as the nutjobs from both extremes take over.

Moderates dont seek control over 16%of GDP. Moderates don't fire CEOs of major corporations. Moderates don't circumvent bankruptcy laws to reward constitutents. Moderates don't appoint known Marxists to their administraiton. Moderates don't comment on local news events without knowing all the facts. Moderates don't support Marxist dictators in the Americas.
Obama as a moderate. Yeah. Sure.
Maybe in Europe that might fly. But not here.

Wow, we are getting a one-payer healthcare system after all. I must have been asleep when that happened.

Obama is not even close to moderate.. that shows how much of a winger you are.. just as Bush II was not a conservative..

You should ask the true liberals/progressives if they believe Obama is a liberal/progressive. Just as you say Bush was no conservative, which he was not, liberals will tell you Obama is no liberal. Both are moderates. Only someone from the extreme far right would think Obama is a liberal just as only someone from the extreme far left would think GW was a conservative.

ABO

I in no way will vote for Obama...

I wish Romney were not the probable REP nominee... but even with what I do not like, he is better than Obama

I wish I could agree with Paul on things other than budget, spending, and some domestic policy.. his foreign policy is idiotic... but he is better than Obama and I would vote for him in the GA over Obama

If there would be a surprise REP nominee... as long as they were not some big spending false conservative with huge glaring faults.. I would vote for them over Obama...

However.. I will probably not vote 3rd party in the GA... to feel better about not taking a vote away from Obama's main opponent

Of course you're not going to vote for Obama. You're a racist piece of shit.

So many reasons, so little 'neg'...

Obama is far more moderate than you, Romney is far more moderate than you. You? You are far right winger who uses terms incorrectly for political gain, but ends up looking stupid.

Ignoring all the other facts.
He certainly would have gone for it. But as Blathering Barney told it, they didnt have the votes.

The truth is that it is exceedingly difficult for anyone to not govern from the middle.... because of our system (thank God and the Founders for their wisdom).

Obama depends, in my opinion, too much on federal solutions to problems. I think Romney will be a good check on any far right loonies in the GOP House, and will govern reasonably. I am curious to see if the Senate goes GOP.
