If another country taxes our goods going into their country, be it at the border or at the retailer level, we should place an equal tax on their goods.

Simple plan. Fair plan. Combine that with a lower corporate tax rates inside the US & a loosened regulatory burden and see where we end up

But taxes are only part of the problem. Slave wages, subsidies, lack of even reasonable environmental regulations, ect, all provide for the worst sort of destructive competition.

IMO, after the last 50 years, it is on other nations to make the trade reasonably balanced. If not, reasons don't matter, slam them.

We should also adopt the same immigration policy Mexico has.

Not trading with people who fuck us? We can't do that?
Sure we can if you want to completely fuck American agriculture.
 
How awesome is this?! We have such brilliant people posting here at USMB! They manage to make discussing extremely complicated international trade issues so simple!
