There are plenty of aircraft available to be fitted for water pickup, transport and dumping. Some are built just for that need. This is a red herring with no merit at all. The problem with funding is a seperate issue but at the core of this one. Communities all over the country have been letting go fire fighters in an effort to cut costs. The GOP is mostly at fault for crashing the economy leading to these cutbacks. The wackwingright wants it both ways but they wait until a house or forrest is already on fire before they cry to the heavens and look for someone to blame politically.

Classic examples of a rethuglican "noticing" a need was the Minnisota bridge that collapsed and the flooding of New Orleans not because og the hurricane but because of cut backs and innaction by the Corps of Engineers on the levees.

NOW the rethuglicons desperately NEED Obama to fly all over the country evrry time 2 people die in a fire? Why? To what end? 2 people die in every major city in the U S practically every day.

AND what advice should he give the good folks of Colorado? ... Stop building houses in areas that cannot be protected from fire?

Most, 8 out of 10 forest and wild fires are proven to be set intentially or unintentionally by humans. You want fewer fires. Burn these fire bugs at the stake publicly or shut the fuck up about it.
