And how many days after 9/11 did Bush rush to the scene of Ground Zero?
And when did the fires break out in Colorado? and how much destruction has it caused?
So where has Obama been? Out trying to raise money being he has lost most of his donors?
You know, Obama could of been on day two of his two/three week vacation on Martha's Vinyard and he would of just stayed there on the Island for the full vacation and let Colorado burn to the ground. Just like what he's been doing to the economy since 2009.

Obama visits Colorado to tour wildfire damage

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - President Barack Obama will tour wildfire-stricken Colorado where thousands of people have been displaced by devastating blazes.

The president's visit Friday comes as about half of the active federal firefighting resources are in Colorado, where extremely hot and dry conditions have triggered several large wildfires during the last month.

Obama has contacted Gov. John Hickenlooper and Colorado Springs Mayor Steve Bach for updates. The Colorado Springs' Waldo Canyon fire an estimated 346 homes and forced 30,000 people to flee. A fire near Fort Collins has destroyed more than 250 homes.

Do you guys hate being wrong so much?

Colorado wildfires: President Obama declares disaster
29 June 2012 - US President Barack Obama has issued a disaster declaration for Colorado, where wildfires have forced tens of thousands from their homes.
Mr Obama is scheduled to visit the affected area on Friday, as federal funds were cleared to combat the blaze. One person was declared dead after human remains were found in a burned-out home in Colorado Springs. The Waldo Canyon fire has destroyed 346 houses, making it the most destructive in the state's history. On Friday morning, officials said the fire was 15% contained and that favourable weather conditions helped firefighting crews make good progress overnight.

Incident commander Richard Harvey said there had been no perimeter growth of the fire, and no additional structures were lost or damaged. But the forest service has warned that it could still take weeks to get the wildfires under control. Another blaze in northern Colorado - the High Park fire - has killed one person and has destroyed 257 homes, officials have said. Half of America's firefighting resources, some 1,100 personnel, have been deployed in the state, where nearly 160,000 acres have been razed.

Aerial views of Colorado Springs show houses reduced to rubble

Body found

Some mandatory evacuation notices have been lifted, authorities said on Friday, enabling some people to begin returning home. Many people remain in shelters and officials said that it may take some time to restore gas and electricity services to those who have been allowed to re-enter their houses. On Tuesday, about 32,000 people were forced to leave their homes as the Waldo Canyon fire surged across the city limits of Colorado Springs, the state's second biggest city and home to some 420,000 people. Late on Thursday, Police Chief Pete Carey said the remains of a person were found in a gutted house in the city.

He said the body was one of two people reported missing from that address, but did not give further details. On Friday he said authorities were trying to trace fewer than 10 people who may be unaccounted for. Officials on Thursday said the fire was halted before it reached the academy for US Air Force cadets. It had been evacuated, but residents were allowed to return on Friday morning. The authorities informed those who had lost homes on Thursday. Some had already been able to tell if their houses had survived from aerial photos, which showed rows of buildings reduced to ashes.

I don't like anyting about Obama but when the president shows up at a disaster for the photo op he just takes resources away from the real problem. Let all the POTUS stay home they do less damage.

He's busy cutting C-130s from the nation's fleet. This of course means there will fewer that can be fitted with MAFFS to fight these sorts of disasters...

obama has been campaigning. Don't expect him to deal with trivia while he's doing important stuff like cutting air fire defense support. He needs that money for the poor.

If the environmentalists had not fought to hard to prevent brush clearning how bad would this fire have gotten? If environmentalists had not mandated that every brush fire been put out immediately, how bad would this fire have gotten?

You're quite-obviously unaware o' the type o' vegetation & lay-of-the-land, in Southern Colorado....not to mention all of this housing is in the foothills!

Your ignorance is showing.

Los Angeles could get hit with a 7.0..Obama is on day three in his Hawaii vacation. so how many more days would Obama stall before finally flying to LA to calm 4 million people and insure them the goverment will be here soon to help them in their time of need?

Barack Chauncey Gardiner Obama is so stupid, he's not even sure that Colorado is one of the 57 states....He'll promise to visit - but only if there's a $50k/plate fundraiser in Vail.

What can he do? In my opinion, the state of Colorado is the primary party in charge of containing those fires. I don't know if they have or haven't , but they can always declare a state of emergency so they can receive federal help.

Are you one of those "folks" whose mantra is "get government out of the way!" ?
