The license plates say "one happy island" and I guess it is. My wife and I spent a week there and it was a pleasant experience. I'm getting too old to enjoy the nite life but it is a party island for sure. You can buy a beer in a pancake house (Dutch pancakes are the best) and all the grocery stores sell hard liquor. My grandson is over 21 but he is young looking and was never profed. Prices are high, a Snickers bar cost me $3 and change at the airport and a sixpack of local beer (pretty good) is about $10.00 U.S. The water on the leeward side is world class snorkeling from shore or a boat. It's a foreign country (Neatherlands) so you need a passport and it's a hassle at the airport while a machine checks your passport and photographs you (without your permission). The local cable T.V. gets the Florida stations and a lot of U.S. stuff including CNN (but not Fox) and the commercials are in Spanish. All in all a pleasant visit but glad to be back in the States
