Dear Senator, you are 80 years old have been a Democrat and a Republican, you have made the switch any time you have thought it would benefit you in your re-election bid. You sold out your party last year by voting for the 787 billion dollar stimulus bill that is not working, then switched again to the Democratic party. Had you held out your vote we could have gotten a better bill and one that would have worked.

Don't you think it's time to throw in the towel and retire?? Now attacking Micchells Bachman on the radio accusing her of interupting you when it is clear that you were interupting her. Don't waste your money or the Democrats campaign money on your re-election bid, because it will be wasted.

Michele Bachmann's blabbing drives Arlen Specter to patronize | Top of the Ticket | Los Angeles Times

Onetime Republican Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, whose jump over to the Democratic Party last year turned his name into a political verb for switching sides whenever it's convenient, may have stepped in something messy this week.

The 80-year-old new Democrat, who's seeking a sixth term but facing a defiant primary challenge from combative Rep. Joe Sestak, was on a Philadelphia radio station debating Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann.

Normally the, uh, outspoken Bachmann, a Tea Party fave, would be a perfect foil for a Democrat like Specter.

The full radio interview is provided in a link on this article.

Bachman is an embarassment to her party.

And Spector is a credit to his (whatever it is this week)??

Spector has an admirable record in the Senate regardless of which party he is representing. Bachman has repeatedly embarassed herself with unsupportable positions.

There is no comparisons between the two

That is code for...

Bachman is a woman of conviction regardless of how the left tries to humiliate her.
Spector will change his mind on anything if it means votes.

Which unsupportable positions has Ms. Bachman embarassed herself with?

typical left wing rhetoric.
They say it about all conservative representaitves.

Ironically...alll liberal positions are based on assumption...thus why it is referred to as "progressive"....
and, all conservative positions are based on 300 years of history.

Go figure.

Depends on how you define 'admirable record'. Assuming you mean serving the best interest of Mr Spector, then yes.

Bachman is, at least, capable of remaining within the party she was elected under.

All of the positions that use basic principles of fairness, equality, and common-sense as foundations.

Like I said....Bachman takes stances based on the facts of our history.
Liberals take satnces based strictly on assumption with no history to back it up.

Except for the stimulus....Japan had a 10 year of history of stimulus failure....but that history the liberals refused to accept as fact.....another example of how they do not use anything but "hope" and assumption to determine which direction to go.

Arlen Specter, just like Harry Reid, needs to begin to clean out his desk and office because he too is going to be history in the next election. Washington will be getting rid of two cockroaches with more to follow.

I know,, the guttersnipes on the left can't do anything more than throw shit balls at the walls and hope some of it sticks,, that is in part why they got their asses handed to them in Massachusetts..
