Arkansas GOP State Rep Thinks Slavery Was Blessing in Disguise for Blacks

Jon Hubbard, a Republican member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, has written a new book in which he says slavery was "a blessing" for African-Americans, among other questionable statements.

The questionable statements in Hubbard's book, "Letters to the Editor: Confessions of a Frustrated Conservative," were first reported by Arkansas Times and TalkBusiness.net.

Regarding slavery, Hubbard wrote:

“… the institution of slavery that the black race has long believed to be an abomination upon its people may actually have been a blessing in disguise. The blacks who could endure those conditions and circumstances would someday be rewarded with citizenship in the greatest nation ever established upon the face of the Earth.” (Pages 183-89)

What an idiot. There's always going to be idiots like this around saying insanely stupid things. The sad part is that usually this stuff truly incorporates absolutely zero malice whatsoever. It's usually simply an incredibly deep stupidity.

Hubbard is not a Christian.

The slaves came from West Africa mostly, a land of farming and herding villages, with Islam dominant in the north and shamanism in the south.

Hubbard needs to be a slave in West Africa for a lifetime.

So they'd be better off in Africa?

SniperFire demonstrates that simply incredibly deep stupidity.

It's their choice, not yours.

If all races didn't practice slavery. I seriously doubt most of these blacks would be living in such freedom and comfort today. Was it right? FUCK NO. SLAVERY IS A FUCKING STAIN ON THE HISTORY OF MAN.

:eusa_boohoo:

White people were quite instrumental in the worldwide abolishment of the worldwide practice of slavery.

What liberals can't admit is slavery was a part of history. Not a good one, but a part of history that was part of the economy of the world. They should be thankful things have charged instead of working to divide and cause hate. :eusa_boohoo:

Liberals love to cause divide from race to class.

Why is he a idiot? I seriously doubt any real freedom would of ever developed within sub-Saharan africa without the white man.

You judge the world for all times on todays standards.

What these idiot Libtards fail to grasp is world history.

It was standard operating procedure to rape, plunder, enslave and kill until Christian America dominated the world scene.

Today's standards made possible by the worldwide free-peoples movement fostered, promoted and made possible by.... America!

These people hate America as it was built the same way every other was. Through violence and the screwing over of other people. The difference is the white man did it.

These people hate the white man.
