But make no mistake, Governor Jan Brewer who pretends to be against this, will not do her duty to issue her own Executive “memorandum” to counter Obama’s memorandum, and tell her state employees to not issue licenses to illegal entrants who are not a citizen of the State of Arizona. Why the hell are millions of people driving without a license and insurance, as you say they are? They are not concerned with laws if that's the case and handing them a piece of paper won't make them drive better or make them have more respect for our laws. You made it sound like a piece of paper would make a difference when they are driving on the road. My point is that it makes no difference as far as safety.

If they already had driver's ed, they should know better than to drive illegally. There shouldn't be as many accidents as there are. Merely passing a written test means that answers in a book can be memorized, but without driver's ed and a road test from the DMV, then no one is safer. After all, the idiots without licenses are already breaking laws, which makes them the morons. And since, as you say, there are millions of unlicensed illegals on the road, they likely have bad habits since they haven't passed any tests and that makes them dangerous.

Just out of curiosity, where exactly in the US do you get a drivers license just by passing a written test? While it has been decades now when I took a test for a drivers license, you actually had to drive a car as part of the test. Do tell?

And I'm pretty sure I "memorized" the rules of the road also as part of the test, like everyone else. I didn't know it was an stream of consciousness essay...

You're right: passing a road test (which is pathetic...<2 miles and never breaking 30MPH is common) does, in fact, mean nothing. And yes: as long as you pollute the board, there are morons here!

What I can't seem to understand is, how can there be so many folks in Washington and around the country who seem to ignore the devastating financial and social effects which the ongoing invasion of our borders is having upon the general welfare of the United States and her CITIZENS?

If legislation is not quickly passed to encourage illegal aliens and their children to leave and return in compliance with our existing statutory law, I shudder to think of what America will devolve into in the next twenty or so years which predictable will look like England and France who have allowed their borders to be overrun and now suffer the financial and social consequences.
