Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he has plans to launch his 19th crime and immigration sweep somewhere in metropolitan Phoenix.

The sheriff wouldn’t specify a date for the sweep, but says it will happen probably in March. He wouldn’t reveal a location for the sweep.

During the sweeps, deputies flood an area of a city — in some cases heavily Latino areas — to seek out traffic violators and arrest other violators.

Critics say Arpaio’s deputies have racially profiled Hispanics during the sweeps.

The sheriff says deputies approach people only when they have probable cause to believe people had committed crimes.

I wish the police in Chicagoland would start cracking skulls like the police of the 60's did. Boy would that reduce crime and the Latino population!!

It would cause riots like the 60's also.

The federal gov't hasn't done a thing about it, so he's decided to take care of it at his level. Much like life, we have to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Kudos to Arizona. :clap2:
