Are you giving up smoking in the new year?

I've tried. Many times. I always fail.

Something a very dear old friend said to me -

Quit quitting.

It really is true that if you want to to stop smoking, you will.
I agree, truly quit without crutches or excuses.

I didn't mean it that way.

If one wants to quit, there's nothing wrong with using a drug, patch or whatever works.

But, I think we give cigarettes so much power over us that we believe we can't quit, or that it is way harder than it has to be. I believe cigarette makers have brainwashed us. They have used science against us and it has successfully set up a pattern of trying and failing.

Sure I was more speaking for myself . I tried "aids" to quit I finally did when I stop using the "help" and faced the reasons why I did smoke, I did not like what I saw and made the changes within myself. Thankfully, I Have not had a cigarette since.
