Y'know, while we're on the subject, I'm going to take a shocking stance here: I did not care for The Godfather or Citizen Kane. I appreciate their importance in the evolution of film, but to actually try to sit down and watch them bores me to tears.

I loved The Godfather. But I agree with you about Citizen Kane. Interesting visually and from a filmmaking perspective it's a brilliant study. But for entertainment value... not so much.

Well, here's the thing with The Godfather: I saw Goodfellas (my favorite movie of all time) and Casino before seeing The Godfather, and it's kind of the same story, or at least a similar one, told in a much slower, less visually interesting (to me, anyway) way. I think that's why I didn't like it so much.
