Think back 30 to 40 years, are people more evil than now?

Is there more Crime?

More Murder?

More Corruption?

Or is it because of the Internet and TV, it just seems that way.....

We are exposed to more of it, which makes it seem more prevelant. As a result, I think many have become complacent and just accept it as a part of life.

Overcrowding causes insanity. There are far to many people packed too closely together.
Overall it's considerably worse.
One of the main factors is hard drugs.
The level of extreme violence has skyrocketed due to the nature of man made and super addictive substances.

Sexual crimes have skyrocketed due to porn addiction and easy access.
Video games and movies are purposely created to create chaos,a lack of reality and a lack of sensitivity when exposed to violence.
Any 13 year old would watch someone get beheaded and be nonchalant when witnessing it.

I don't have to tell you where this all began and how it spread to every nation but I'll toss a hint.

The murkin military, murkin movies and now the murkin internet.:cuckoo:

Then you must live in the heart of the city.

It sometimes seems to me that crime is worse. I remember when Ted Bundy made news, and we had no idea what a "serial killer" was. Then, for awhile, it seemed like criminals were in some sort of competition to kill more, or do so more gruesomely, etc. But now?

I think prolly not. Such things have always happened, and what has changed is our ability to detect them and report on them. I dun really think there's anything new in the world of crime.

I agree, with certain stressors, people will engage in more antagonistic behavior, but they are also able to adapt. I'm not sure we'll see more crime if the economy continues to tank.

All the stories I have ever heard about the Great Depression seemed to be about people helping each other and reacting with compassion.
