Are Republicans thrilled just 47 people are giving 57% of campaign money?

Is Romney is really for the middle class, why is the majority of funding coming from mega-rich, often private, donors?

The rich don't have that big an impact on the economy, they do not need tax breaks. If the rich really were attuned to the economy, wouldn't they be suffereing too instead of making record profits? Not to mention the number of millionaires is on the rise...which seems odd for a period of economic downturn.

!!! Point missed. It is not only the amount donated, it is who donated. Consider who needs to influence the president? A Movie Mogul or a Coal/Oil Mogul?

We are a Plutocracy now, one which the Supreme Court anointed in CU v. FEC. Voting for Romney simply puts the Fox in charge of the Hen House.

I believe in your case it's not only the amount donated or who donated it but rather who the money is donated to.

Big Coal certainly needs more influence than Big Hollywood at present. The current President is regulating one right out of business while partying and fundraising with the latter. And I need cheap electricity more than I need a new Spiderman reboot.

Seriously dude, get over Citizens United. It was the right call. Government should not be dictating speech and especially not during an election year.

After reading these three pages, I have proof that the ones calling themselves Repugs or Cons on this board, are the stupidiest fuking people on the planet.

From what was written, IF the Rethugs on here were to give millions and millions of dollars to Romneys campaign, YOU WOULDN'T EVEN ASK FOR A LITTLE FAVOR?

How fuking stupid are you people. Why the hell you think hundreds of million are being given to Mitts campaign. Favor is the answer.

If I could give millions to Obama, you damn well better believe I would want something in return.

I swear, you rethugs are stupid

Just 47 people account for more than half (57.1 percent) of the $230 million raised by super PACs from individual donors, according to the study by U.S. Public Interest Research Group (U.S. PIRG) and Demos, two liberal research and advocacy organizations. Just over 1,000 donors giving $10,000 or more were responsible for 94 percent of the money raised.

They calculate that it would take 321,000 middle-income families, donating an equivalent share of their wealth (0.15 percent), to match the Adelsons' giving.

Super PAC donations: Small group, a big dent

Do Middle Class Republicans feel that someone like Sheldon who has tens of billions of dollars share their "interests and needs".

The other question is "Are there any Middle Class Republicans"? If so, why do they vote against their own self interests?

Are democrats thrilled when 100 percent of them hate the first amendment except when it comes to their free speech?

So the millions given to Obama by lobbyist is of concern?

Hate the first amendment? How you figure? Just becaue a few ultra rich AMericans can fund a Presidential election all by themselves, how is that "hating the First Amendment?

But let me ask you; if you could give millions and millions of your dollars to Mitt, and he were elected, would you ask for any Presidentail favors or considerations?

Yeah... Obama is owned. Mitt is Owned...

Hell... Even Ron Paul is owned. Of course... Ron is owned by the men and women of the US military... But hey... He's owned. With a message of PEACE. *laughs*

Where do you think obama's tax dollar supported stimulus went in 2009?

well hell yea its is a concern. Do you have that list. I want to bitch about them. And of course, you don't really care about Dems doing that. It's all first amendment with you all.

If you could give millions to your Presidential choice, would you ask for favors? I wouild.

Not even one of you had the balls to be honest and say; hell yea. If I give millions and millions of dollars to a Presidential campaign and the guy wins, I am asking for something to benefit ME.

Why the hell you think they give that money.

Wtf is wrong with you people that you can't be that honest?

That is such a stupid off the wall sentence, why bother.

I think that is zeke's point. Look what money bought the winners four years ago, a huge flow cash and favors coming back at them. The unions scored huge favors.

This issue would be how to change the laws, I don't think one can, because the guys that get the money for favors runs makes the laws.

Don't think so look at his rebuttal.

Most of obama stimulus money went to unions, so why bother giving a rebuttal?

Neither men will not be in the pockets of any one person, donors realize that. Many big donors give to both parties' PACs. Republicans get more multi millionaires, but Democrats have their fair share also.

They will OWN Mittens.

What the hell, they OWN him now.

Never mind pub and pots. Norquist is thrilled, Sheldon has his casinos in CHINA and Trump still has all the answers for the birther idiots.

Of interest is that most of President Obama's donations are $250 or less. True grass roots as opposed to rw's selling out their country.

Your lying is pathological. You seriously need to stop. Lying as frequently as you do leads to harmful self-delusions, such as Obama worship. You are only harming yourself.

60 percent of Obama's contributions are from large individual contributions.

George Soros contributed $23.7 million in 2004 to pro-Democratic political organizations, more than any other donor, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a Washington-based research group. Bloomberg
Stop throwing feces at Republicans when Democrats do the same thing, rdean.

Those are mainly fact checkers "Democtic political organizations"- and the Koch Bros are expected to give 400 million dollars...wonder what they want? Romney also picked up millions in London from bankers who don't want any investigations. Pub dupe.
